hi ignacious. I suppose you to study at Carlos III University. this is my case too. I'm trying to install ansys 11 sp1 to works with vista but after all the tedious process when I'm going to start autodyn (which is the program I want to use) I obtein an error message telling me autodyn.es dejo de funcionar.

Did it happen when you installed it?

To get the liscense file copy the magnitude file to your computer before running it if it didnt work when installing it off a disk

sorry for my english. i've got a problem with CFX. I've installed Ansys products on ms vista x64, it's working. but after i'v installed CFX, is gives a problem: CFX terminated while attempting to connect to workbench. Before i've used xp 32bit, and there was no problem with it. If anybody has some idea, where to begin to solve that, please share with me. Thanks a lot!

cause i have both lmgrd32 and lmgrdx64
but ansys apparently is in 32 while license manager is installed in 64

5. ANSYS CFX Products and on Vista are supported at a beta level only. ANSYS CFX Products include the CFX Solver as well as CFX-Pre, CFX-Post, BladeModeler,
CFX-Mesh, and TurboGrid.

I am not gettin lmgrd file in the specified location and any where else also.

Here is the procedure to crack ANSYS 11 (it works on XP):
1. Install Ansys 11 (autoexec.exe->Install Products-> Ansys Products)
2. Install License Management (autoexec.exe->Install Products-> Licence Management)

3. Start-> Programs-> Ansys Flexlm Licence Manager
Open ANSLIC_ADMIN Utility
Choose: Show HostID...(2nd tab from the top)
Write down: your Hostname and FlexID

open a11calc.exe
answer: NO (just write "N" and hit "enter")
type your Hostname
type your FlexID
5. Copy the licence.dat that has been created

Start-> Programs-> Ansys Flexlm-> LMTOOLS Utility
Licence Manager
Check (bottom right corner): LMTools Ignores license file path envrironment variables
In the Config Services tab:
specify path to the lmgrd.exe file: X:program files\Ansys\Shared\Licensing\i ntel\lmgrd.exe
specify path to license file:X:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\Shared Files\Licensing\license.dat
SAVE
7. Restart your pc
8. You sould be able to open Ansys and Workbench

HI. I ve done teh part about the licence.dat file but I don't undestand the part regarding "the environmental variables". what are they ? Where do I look for and what must I do ?

Copy ansyslmd32.exe and lmgrd32.exe from DVD to folder C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\Shared Files\Licensing\intel
-Rename these files to ansyslmd.exe and lmgrd.exe

Ok, first of all thanks for the license.dat file and for all the help.
The license file seems good but the crack process didn't work. I have followed exactly all the passages written above untill to number 6. I have set the "v" mark on "LMTOOLS ignores license file path environmenta variables" and in the CONFIG SERVICES I hav set the path for license.dat file, ok, but if I set the path for the LMGRD.exe I don't find it in that folder. However, I have set that folder anyway but above these 2 path there is the SERVICE NAME field and on it I find the word "borrow". Now, If I click on SAVE SERVICES an error text appears. It shows: "this item cannot be modified at this location.Please refer to the borrowing tab to make changes to this item". Even if I clear the SERVICE NAME field it's the same. If I close and open again the LMTOOLS my paths are disappeared and so Ansys don't work.
What can I do???

Hi Guyz, I have ANSYS11 problem, when is run 'WinHOSTID' my FlexID and HOSTID: is blank. and when i try to run 'Run the license wizard' is get a message 'invalid license file: FLEXimID in the does not match the system FLEXim ID'

I have tried the processes suggested by Hugo Boss and Harum at least twice each and each time I get the same error message when I try to run Ansys: "failed determining temp directory location".
Can anybody help me?

I have the same problem with my a110sp1_calc.exe. Could you fix my problem for me?
