Grow up you morons! Face the real world, there is no pensions anymore. Only golden parachutes for college educated people like me (the management).

You little people will work until you drop dead.

It's not right. If you go into the game knowing you will have nothing at the end, you can plan and design your life around it. When you are promised something, and have budgeted around it it should not be taken from you by pepole who are unable to properly run a business.

I worked for this terribly mismanaged company that has never understood that they are in the service industry and their employees are the front line ambassadors! They have always treated their employees like s$$t and now have to go to the extreme of suing retirees, while management reaps all the benefits.
American Airlines, you suck!!

It's the little people like you, who allow people like me to get away with financial crimes that this nation have come to know and understand.

This is today; the real world.

I proud to be known as "You Suck".

By the way...Should I buy the new BMW or Mercedes for my high school son? He just turned sixteen.

Are you for real or are you just trying to be a complete moron???? You are no better than ANY front line employee and the fact that you feel you need to separate yourself from the general frontline employee and point this out to the participants of this forum further exemplifies your lack of humanity, intelligence, and security within yourself. As a fellow member of management I don't look up to or respect someone like you. Great companies, particularly in the service industry ,get to the top BECAUSE of their frontline employees and the managers that guide and lead them everyday with respect and integrity. Have you never learned this basic business principle with all your "special" education or have you just simply forgotten?????

My husband gave decades to this company as a former TWA employee. Wages were given up for the promise of these future benefits. Now it is too late to replace the medical benefits and life insurance at a reasonable price due to advanced age.

It should be illegal for companies to use the bankrupty courts to eliminate these benefits.

By the way the AA medical for TWA/AA retirees is self funded and has millions in reserve. Will those premium payments be divided among the retiress or will AA just try to grab this money also as theirs?

The life insurance is a mere 10,000 dollars for all TWA retirees at this time ,barely enough for a decent burial. You in management should be ashamed of yourselves for sueing this group of formerly dedicated employees. Those in management change jobs every few years while the union members give decades to a company they love. Your day will come..Karma is always at work.

Hopefully the judge will block this ridiculous request by management.

I realize you're just being facetious but as a former Manager it's great being a worker now. At the end of my shift I no longer worry all night about the company and I'm only responsible for my actions. You can have the stress of management. You will die much sooner than me.

I worked for AA for 38 years. I have health issues that make it nearly impossible to buy health insurance to cover me. I paid for my retiree medical for over 15 years and now the company wants to rob me of what I have already paid for. But in American today this is legal. I am a military veteran and an AA veteran facing a very unsure future. I feel that I did everything right and now cannot enjoy the retirement I earned.

How does the line go.. Oh yea.... We appreciate your service. The employees of AA are some of the best in the indusrty.(That is why we are contracting out your lives). Bankrupcy has forced us to make some very difficult choices.(but rest assured we will be well compensated at your expense).

Why didn't you mention that you received a refund check for every penny paid in?

Because it won't be returned until 120 days after the 1113 process is ended. The reason for the refund is that the plan is terminated, go buy your own. After 8 years of not even a penny raise to match the cost of living, and insurance copays getting bigger how many folks will have the discipline to save that money retirement when Mastercard and Visa are screaming at them

to Tammy I paid for the retiree medical when I was younger and much healthier. Even if I am reimbursed the money, I cannot buy the insurance I now need because of my present poor health. Now do you understand?
