The pilots think they won this one. LOL.
AMR was seeing what they could get away with and the Judge slapped their hands. Now, it's back to negotiations but it will just be juggling give and take. In the end the pilots won't do much better than the best and final offer they voted down.

Shut the damned airline down and send a message to Washington DC. We can and will cause financial and social caos in places like Chicago, Dallas, and Miami.

America's can start driving or taking Greyhound Bus Lines.

If AA left Dallas there would be tumbleweeds rolling down the streets in deserted neighborhoods.

judge abrogates tommorw after amr refiles, amr announce buy of jblu in october amr goes back to stonewalling pilots for 6 more years, us air can't clean up their act, and amr emerges from bk in jan stand alone, goes public, creditors get paid back. Employees suffer and management gets huge bonuses. What could go wrong?

And we don't screw up like EAL mechanics who left o rings out of three L-1011 engines or CO mechanics who forgot to screw on the tail of an E120 or UA mechanics who failed to detect cracks in the number two engine of the DC-10 that rolled up into a ball at SUX or Aloha mechanics who failed to notice cracks in the fuselage of the "convertible" 737 or Boeing mechanics whose faulty repair brought down a Japan Airlines 747 killing 600 plus or the Alaska Air mechanics who failed to properly lubricate the MD80 elevator jack-screw or the American mechanics whose use of improper techniques to remove and install DC-10 engines lead to the worst air disaster in US history or Chalks mechanics who ignored signs of metal fatigue causing the wings to fall off their Gruman Goose. Yes, compared to these stupid American mechanics, we look pretty bueno!

BTW How much was American fined for bad maintenance last week? One hundred and sixty million? that's muchos pesos!

when contract maintenance takes over the work will improve. These guys will have to do a good job or AA will fire them pronto. No grievances or any other bullshit to deal with. Do the job or you're tomorrow.

I have heard the story of a GM in a certain station due to have the ramp contracted out. It seems this GM does not like the way the company AA hired to work his station performs. AA hired the lowest bidder, and forced it down the throat of the guy running the show. That said AA is a great soon to be ex employer. I have nothing negative to say about them, per the social media policy. I will really hate the day I am shoved to the street and replaced, but it is for the good of my company. I know I was a valuable asset, our headquarters management team tells me that all the time. I know they will miss me and my 1400 coworkers, they said so.
