Yea u are right in that a NO vote will at least allow u to keep your pay-a YES vote is a pay cut and if u think it will just be for 6 years think again!!! You are looking at AT LEAST another 8-10 years as long as the same management team is leading AA-remember folks, AA has said with a NO vote, they would go to their original 1113 ask, which did NOT touch our pay rate!!!!! Now if you want to be a complete idiot and vote yourself a pay cut then go right ahead!!! Let's see how happy you are knowing with a YES vote you will be making the same amount per hour in a 20yr time span!!!! Read the information that's out there and know the facts please!!!!
And now the COMPANY is trying to intimidate its TWU employees into voting for the absurd concessions!!!! I thought this was to be a decision for each employee-the union is not telling the employees how to vote so what gives AA management the idea that they can tell those poor workers how to vote? Shame on that management team!!!! This just goes to show why AA is in the shape they are in right now!!!!! This latest update is in reference to the latest letter to a union official on the aviation blog for DFW news.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but $50/mo times 23,000 members = 1,150,000. This Worthless Union collects ONE MILLION dollars a month for what? If you people don't know by now-have you ever heard of Organized Crime, the Mafia, Jimmey Hoffa ???!!!

<quoted text>That is what you get when you have a union. At Delta we have no union we work WITH management, not against them. You would never see this sort of thing at Delta! EVER! Unions are a thing of the past and should be GONE! Hands down just like this "occupy" crap...just that crap! Get over it you are there to do a job. Don't like it?!?!? Get another or start your own business. Unionized American airline employees are nothing more than crying screaming babies! GROW UP! Deal with it!
I'm now with IAM because of the merger with United. I got screwed this year by not getting my profit sharing even though the company (combined) made profit. This happened because of contract dispute (or lack of) The effect of having union has begun. I'm Jeff'd up!

Now at last we may find out if Management has the guts to to do the right thing if the TWU contract is abrogated, with no seniority to deal with lets get rid of the Slugs that are responsible for the low productivity at TUL.

The ones PRIMARILY responsible for low productivity at TUL are THE MANAGEMENT. If mgmt managed PROPERLY, and rid the airline of the slugs or at least reformed them, we wouldnt be in the condition we're in.

The problem with the union now is there is to many of them. One union should organize all ground handlers under one umbrella. All ground handlers get the same benefits, pay, medical, travel, bonuses ect... every ground handler belonging to the same union.DGS,Regional elite, Swiss Port, WFS, SkyWest, Continal express....everyone who gets screwed by the airlines so that there few but overly proud employees can profit and benefit from the other stations hard work and effort all while getting 1/2 the pay of a mainline employee. I have not been in the airline business since NWA and I am damn glad to be out of it. I started out 30 years ago making more money then these poor saps do now that work for a ground handler. TWU wake up and organize everyone....or will that require to much work for you all. If you cannot organize the out source comapanies the organize the airlines because these mainline idiots think they are so much better the the people who actually work to line there pockets with money. And the airline employees are so stupid that they don't want them working anyway. GO back to when there was no outsource companies working and only airline employees making good money after all the airlines have been blaming to much on 9-11 that they are crying that they do not make money but yet if someone figured out how much money they make on just bag charges alone then that would pay for a airline employee to come back to these smaller cities.

How? The union stands up for these lazy low life, worthless rampers and mechanics and ruins it for everyone else who wants to work and have a good paying job.

I hope that is sarcasm. 8 hours is easy, I'll trade you jobs for a full week. After 40 hours you will hurt. After 25 years you will have a laundry list of pending surgeries. I move, by hand, 30,000 lbs a day. What do you do?

Put it out of its misery now. Do what Machinist President Bryant did for Eastern Airlines in 1989.
Walk off your jobs and don't come back. Man up, show some real balls and shut it down. You AA employees will find other minimum wage jobs, Eastern Airline employees did!
