American Airlines needs to remain a stand alone company and show everyone else how to reevaluate the past and with the experience oif past mistakes, move forward and set the example for corporations and companies to follow. What better thing can I say than to say "Fly American, We are going places and want you along for the ride". To the employees I say to you, work out the deal and let's get to flying and save an American Icon! FLY AMERICAN!

Frank, I can appreciate your loyalty and enthusiasm, but until you get the American Airlines management to adopt your mindset, there may not be an icon to save. Good Luck!!

The best way to save an "American Icon" is to merge with US Airways.

No WAAY, time for Parker and Kirby. Go hang out on the Schweinlin blog. Frank I believe you're another transparent schill.Time to be number 1 again by being able to compete with a route strucure, cost savings, and higher yields. That's what US Airways brings, its called syngergy, and the name of the airline stays the same, AMERICAN, but it recaptures its former greatness from day one.

The only ones who are blind to it are crony capitalists, or disgruntled shortsigheted pilots that are blind to the opportunity the combined airline brings. Even Schwillen can't refute that, so he negative naboob's and goes for the east/west, labor problems, while ignoring the very real labor problems ahead for what this AA management has ignited.

Merge and thrive, or drift and die.

JBLU does none of that for us.
