Human Rights Watch: White (phosphorous) lies

Full story: www.jpost.com

Human Rights Watch is one of the most powerful organizations claiming to promote international morality and law, but along with Amnesty International and the United Nations, shares responsibility for the transformation of these principles into weapons aimed at Israel. In the most recent example, HRW, headed by Kenneth Roth, initiated a campaign alleging that the IDF was using white phosphorus weapons unlawfully in the conflict in Gaza with Hamas ...

And speaking of facts and bias ....

"Many allegations and accusations, including "war crimes", have been leveled at Israel as a result of its Gaza operation. The LA Times publishes a report from Gaza that is symptomatic of some of the skewed and potentially faulty information being fed to the foreign media as part of widespread efforts to have Israel condemned in the court of public opinion.

Ashraf Khalil writes about "charges of indiscriminate firing on civilians and ambulances and what one international weapons expert called the heaviest use of controversial white phosphorus munitions in the 22-day offensive."

Importantly, he also states that "It is impossible to fully confirm many of the details of what happened here." Indeed, many of the most egregious charges against Israel, subsequently proven to be false, have come from so-called Palestinian "eyewitnesses" or officials with a vested interest in attacking Israel ...."

"Facts" that are "impossible" to be verified are worthless.

War requires the use of whatever portion of your arsenal is required to win. White phosphorous, napalm, etc. That's why war is to be avoided when possible. It's ugly and people die. But, if you go, you must be prepared to win.

I'm waiting for Muslims to understand that...but wait, they do and use everything they can to overtake the world and put Islam in power. They even support the Taliban (Swat Valley).

The Pals rocketed Israel, all of Islam wants to see Israel dead and they are also bringing their hatred to Inida (Mumbai) Europe and have shut their mouths about what is happening in Somali and Darfur...they hope you don't notice that like the Hamas they like to pretend they are not all one hateful and controlling group!

Even the moderates are afraid to open their mouths...Islamaphobia is alive and well in any Muslim country.

Would I be incorrect if I assumed you have no issue at firing rockets at Israeli citizens?

It depends upon the circumstances.

Did the US have the right to drop atomic bombs on civilian populations in Japan?

Why would you try to link two things that have nothing in common?
Because you don't like the answer you would have to give to not expose your self.

If you can't comprehend the commonality of two attacks on civilian populations to bring about an end to conflict, you're even dumber than I hought.

Not really, I'm talking about legal weapons of war to be used against enemy concentrations of troops and infrastructure. You're talking about rounding up unarmed civilians and exterminating them...but, then, you knew that, didn't you?

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Scorpio

Be careful how you handle a certain someone today because their mood is little short of incendiary. They'll jump down your throat if you dare to disagree with them, and then accuse you of being a wimp if you decide that it would be better to agree with everything they say. You can't win! If they really get on your wick, you'll have to give them a piece of your mind, even if it is supposed to be the season of goodwill to all men. Huh!
