Allegiant Air to end service from Savannah

Allegiant Air announced Friday it will end its scheduled service from Savannah Hilton Head International Airport.

I wouldn't think that flights between to resort type cities would be a big seller.

they probably are big sellers BUT a full plane doesn't mean profit.

people do not go to Savannah on purpose...lol...and the few vacationers than can afford to fly into Savannah, want more airline frills than a no name carrier like Alligiant...

They lost Airtran some years ago and now Allegiant. Savannah is not a large enough market for a low cost carrier.
They are hemmed in by Charleston and Jacksonville, two cities with low cost airlines.
