I wonder if the same people that took down the SuperFerry are sharpening their knives to go after companies like A&B that have been around a long time and have a long history of extracting favors from state politicians? Campbell Estate, MaGoon Estate. Shucks , why not snoop into whatever back alley skulldugery Bishop Estate is conducting lately. All these old time Families take a big chunk of the money in Hawaii , and they take it right off the top .

I thought the headline "A&B expects flat quarter," ment they were expecting to get 25 cents.

"A&B's net income is expected to include two commercial property sales, which are currently in escrow, as well as a work-force restructuring charge of $5 million to $6 million related to a 10 percent nonunion work-force reduction announced in January."
Why is it only "nonunion work-force"? It's the union work-force that costs more. Great benefits and guaranteed raises...regardless if their work performance.
On a separate note, how's about the stevedores reducing their pay, so everyone in Hawaii can benefit by paying a little less at the store?
