Dumler Refuses to Comment on Party Call for Resignation

Full story: NBC29 Charlottesville

In January, Dumler pleaded guilty to misdemeanor sexual battery. His guilty plea was part of an agreement with prosecutors to drop a felony forcible sodomy charge and not pursue charges for two additional alleged victims.

Dumler may finally catch his first break in this continuing saga on Wednesday, when a predicted 6"-10" of snowfall may postpone the 9:00 a.m. BOS meeting and he can avoid another round of scathing public comments.

No worries though, since it should only increase attendance at the 6:00 p.m. meeting on Wednesday the 13th.

Poor Chris is left now with only Cynthia Neff, Delores Rogers, and Sally Thomas as supporters. I wouldn't be sleeping any easier a

If the Sups really wanted to force his resignation they'd move all meetings for the next few months to Saturdays putting Dumbler in a position where he wouldn't be able to attend meetings because he'd be in jail and his removal would be justified.

Enough of this freak show.

Well Amanda, they probably see Dumler as a strapping young lad that could deliver the same goods that he delivered criminally to others...

I don't care what party this crusty used fleet nozzle belongs to, he needs to be tossed out and spend some some time in the care of the penile system. Turnabout would be fair play, yes?

Come on Dumler, make it easier on yourself and do the right thing. If you really care about the citizens of the Scottsville District, you should resign right away so WE can move on. It's that simple. You can get a property management company to rent out that house you just bought, move away, stay with family or friends for a while, let things die down, change your name and start a new life. If you stay here you'll never live down the chaos you've caused by refusing to admit what you did is no more than a personal issue. You have lost our confidence and we do not trust your judgement. Please do the right thing for us.Please.

If Susan Payne is running Dumler's resistant and recalcitrant refusal to leave the Board of Supervisors, remind me to hire her the next time I need to annoy the people of my community. Come on, Susan, I used to have high respect for you. If he's still your client, you need to advise him to pack his bags and head back to some area of the country who won't have heard of his misdeeds. Charlottesville and Albemarle County deserve better than what this spoiled young man is currently offering our citizens.

This has reached the point of absurdity. The citizens of Albemarle have had enough. We cannot let this reprobate dictate terms. He needs to go.

If Dumler hadn't tried this case in the court of public opinion, but instead in the court of law where both sides could be heard, then there would be no "other side" to counter his attacks against his accusers and his consistent (and we say untrue) testimony that he committed no crime that night. When Dumler played out his I'm innocent "apology tour", he incensed his victims and the victims' supporters. They testified online and on TV, and their supporters rallied and skewered Dumler in his chosen "court of public opinion". So, call us vigilantes if you will, but he should have resigned as soon as he was found guilty, not because it's the legal thing he *had* to do, but because it was the *right* thing to do. Dumler picked this fight the first time when he sexually violated those women, a second time when he said he would mount a vigorous defense and *lied* to the press about the charges being ginned up by two ex lovers, a third time by maintaining his innocence after pleading guilty in court, and a fourth time on his apology tour. He is still fighting to this very day - fighting everyone including his own Democratic party and Democratic political leaders. The opposition will fight back until he surrenders. Chris Dumler will *never* know a days rest from his detractors until he shuts up, hunkers down, quits lying, stops defending the indefensible, and retires from political life. His vigilante-fan-club will follow him beyond this day and this place. When he makes another mistake, they will pounce on him. He will from here-on-ever-after be looking over his shoulder. His reputation is present online and will remain there. He is a convicted sex offender now, and in a couple years when his sentence is fulfilled, he will be an ex-con who served jail time. It didn't have to be this way. He could have faced his accusers and the community with veracity and remorse, accepted his requested plea and regrouped. Please note, the plea was initiated by *him* and accepted by the accusers and the Court. Instead, he traded one fight for another. Women are fighting back, and he will never ever win. He is like a man trapped in quicksand: The more you struggle, the quicker you get sucked down. His critics are not his biggest enemies. His enemies are arrogance, hubris, denial, and anger, and control issues towards women. What keeps him engaged in this fight is that his enemies are women. He cannot face that it is *women* who had him arrested,*women* who have placed him in jail,*women* who have bested him in the court of public opinion, and *women* who will determine that as long as he lives, he will have no peace, no forgiveness, and that his reputation will follow him the rest of his life. Only full surrender by Dumler will save him. Anything short of real remorse and resignation from public office will do. Not because of what he did to those women, the Court took care of that, but for what he did afterwards.

Time for Dumpster to resign, and leave town for good. His campaign ads were cheesy enough. Who knew they would be a sign of the future. Does he get paid for being on the BOS? Maybe that is why he is hanging on, who would hire him as a lawyer anymore? Is he still a JAG officer as well? I imagine even the National Guard would can him after being convicted of a sex crime.

The Board of Supervisors have not really been a strong force in getting Dumler removed from the board. It is time to replace the board. The dems have even disowned him, how much longer do we have to wait.

Somebody who has the time should review the Uniform Code of Military Justice. I can't do it at the moment--too swamped with work. Surely, he has violated a code, and could be dishonorably discharged. Where is his commander? And, of course, he's getting paid by the BOS. The salary and benefits are available under FOIA. I'm sure his meager income from his practice is being supplemented by our County taxes. Enough is enough, Chris, resign. You've brought shame upon us all.

I want to see him gone from the area as much as anyone, but he has to do his jail time first. He's petitioned to do it on weekends, which as I understand it, is the cushy way and not much contact with the general population. So we may be stuck with him for a little while longer in this town. That doesn't mean he should stay on the BOS. We don't need jailbirds serving as our leaders- that is ludicrous.

I feel no shame as a result of any of this fiasco, just extremely curious how one person avoids reality to the max. But, he is a man, and men are pigs.

Most (actually all) men I know are pretty horrified at Dumler's behavior. Calling men pigs does not help the cause of removing Dumler from office. This should not be a gender issue. This is a criminal issue.

He wouldn't comment?:

When asked "How can you be an effective supervisor without having the backing of your allies right now?" Chris Dumler stated, "Ask Sally Thomas, Dennis Rooker, and independents who have represented other constituents on the Board of Supervisors for many years."

His comment was crystal clear. Dumler thumbed his nose at the Democratic Party, which just kicked him to the curb, saying that "independents" (in his case, a rejected loner) like Rooker and Thomas didn't need a political party, thank-you-very-much.

It must be tough to have such an overflated, pathological ego such as his.
