Please explain what you mean by "unattended death." I assume the person could have died of a medical condition, etc. But have never heard the term "unattended death." I assume it means that no one was there to witness it?

It didn't say the age of the person. Maybe a heart attack or hypothermia? Maybe a missing person?

Unattended death means not being cared for or looked after at the time of death. But I haven't heard this term on other deaths.

An "unattended death" is a rather well used term in the Emergency Services. This simply means the deceased subject was not around or near family members or persons who would have witnessed the death. It doesn't have a secret meaning or infer any suggestions of anything. VSP uses the term all the time in reference to such situations.

To be driving one minute and dead 10 minutes later would usually indicate a sudden heart condition or aneurysm of some type. There seems to be an unexplained increase in people passing away from rapidly developing aneurysms in particular. Driving one minute and instant extreme headache the next. Pull over and pass away before anybody even notices.... that's an unattended death.

UPDATE: The body found at the I-64 rest area has been identified as 33-year-old James A. Randle of Waynesboro. Virginia State Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding Randle's death, but do not suspect foul play.

Also smoking meth can cause the same effect,, then a bullet would be unattended. not counting the gun. Please do this not on state vistas overlooks, as it closed it down for 8 hours,[ guess that's last beautiful thing a person saw] at least it was not 15 miles down logging road, Hard to fish out.
