According to who,...D1ck? Your "no growth" buddies? You've apparently already forgotten those water use restrictions from the past few years.

Even if it was all about control, so what? It's obvious that the only place Charlottesville is going is to become the home of UVA and endless homeless shelters. That's the dream of Norris, Huja, and Edwards, whether they realize what their policies actually mean or not. Meanwhile, Albemarle grows new industries and new homes, and will be limited by the stranglehold of Norris and his little water empire unless other measures are taken.

This should give everyone a good idea of the quality of the politicians in Albemarle County. If you were in the middle of apparently sensitive negotiations about a critical resource, how many of you would call out the other party and attempt to politically bully them into stepping back. Boyd and his buddies could have easily done this privately, but no they prefer the public-harpie approach to governing.

As opposed to back door dealings? Obama must have had a sit down with Norris and given him some pointers.

This is not a water issue, this is a developer issue hiding behind a water issue. As usual the politicians know this but the public at large are clueless and neither print news or local tv will tie the two together. Chicken ....s.

You obviously are not up to speed. All the county growth objectives have been accepted in all the calculations. NOBODY has ever even attempted to question that. So get real and understand the issues. This is not about trying to use water as a weapon against growth.

This is a Red Herring just like "the existing dam is no dam good". You are attempting to corrupt the real issues with sensless arguments to mislead and decieve.

Read the current attempts to attack the Mayor's integrity. Does that get us anywhere?

Maybe you have a moment to listen to his responce?

And C'Ville is not just UVA and endless homeless shelters.

It is the county seat. Home to the courts, attorneys and all sorts of governmental activity. Its the center of commerce for the piedmont with accountants and all sorts of hedge funds. Itís a retail center. A medical center, Its a tourist destination. Its rich in music and the performing arts. The restaurants a good and diverse. Its a historical city, the birth place for the Republic. ON and On and On

And its only a few miles from Waynesworld. Come visit, get to know this community. Donít just throw stones over the mountain in hopes of making a splash.

D1ck, I lived there for years, got a belly full of my tax dollars being wasted by idiots, so as my name states, I left C'ville socialism.

Medical Centers are everywhere there's a population to support them. Diverse resturants are everywhere.

As for the Piedmont region, it includes Richmond and Lynchburg, both cities with far more commerce than Norris, Huja, Edwards, and the rest will ever tolerate... or would be able to manage.

Birthplace of the republic? I was never aware that the continental congress met at Mr Jeffersons house. Even if it was the birth place of this great nation, what has it done since? Even if I allow this bogus claim, Charlottesville is like Portugal to the world stage: a "has been". That's no cushion under your tush, those are laurels you're resting on, D1ck.

The other than a destination for history buffs, students, and those that can't get out, C'ville is truly deserving of a bypass. Your leaders, and apparently you, are simply unwilling to admit such.

...and in the meantime, Norris further attempts to staunch growth in the region.

I left, and with good reason!

Well, I am glad your happy. And I am glad you have found an agreeable city for you.

PS

The bypasses were to bypass Charlottesville by going around it through the county. Alast, the COUNTY blocked them, not the city.
