Why doesn't our government do something about these crooks? I opted for the Obama promise and got shut out by AHMSI. I am a widow, and the value of my home has dropped so low it is a joke. I have been unemployed for two years. I did not start out with a loan from AHMSI. My loan was with Ameriquest. They sold my loan to AHMSI, and I was never informed this had happened util I tried to take advantage of the bailout from Obama. It seems that Obama bailed out on me. I have written letters, made calls, cried, begged, etc. It is sad to think that companies can sell your loan, ruin your life and the government will not regulate houseing sales in fair practice.

I am happy to say that all of you who dissed me here should know what happened. Judge Nickerson upheld 3 TILA violations, 2 RESPA violations, unjust enrichment, fraud, and violations of the Md. Consumer Protection Act on a Motion to Dismiss. Shortly thereafter I filed an equitable subordination motion in the AHM bk and after mediation we settled the case. So for all of you who had nothing better to do than sling mud, and try and paint me as something I was not, you lose, I win.

Lynn Szymoniak's four-year foreclosure nightmare is finally over -- but the high-profile activist and attorney said she couldn't finalize her exit without one final problem.

Namely, her bank couldn't tell her how much she owed on her Palm Beach County, Fla. home.

Szymoniak began fighting with her bank in June 2008, when she says it improperly sought to raise the interest rate on her loan, increasing her monthly payments by roughly $1,000. She refused to pay, and has been embroiled in legal drama ever since.

But while defending her own home, Szymoniak, a white-collar crime attorney, uncovered startling irregularities, with key bank paperwork appearing to have been fabricated and critical signatures forged. She began documenting her findings, which ultimately led to allegations of massive, systemic errors in the foreclosure process as banks cut corners to save money, at times appearing to foreclose on borrowers who had not even missed payments.
