Good for Waldners! The judge(s) in this case have to
ask why AHM gave it's top people a 75% bonus last
year because business was extremely good.

My employ ended Aug 3rd after 1 day notice. I have yet to even receive a WARN letter. I would appreciate the 2 months salary/benefits I am entitled to under the WARN act

How dare the court allow workers still there to get double salaries, what about the 1642 people on LI unemployed due to Michael Strauss and his dishonesty?

No one there at this time is getting more than their regular salaries. The judge ruled "no" on the proposed
40% bonus for the top brass to stay.
The questions is why do the top exec.
get a 75% bonus last year as a reward for a good year. Can you imagine earning $300,000 and then getting 75%
of that amount as a bonus!!

You're wasting your time thinking you will get vacation time and be able to get cobra. There is no money set aside for this in bankrupcy. I know, I worked for a company that claimed bankrupcy. When a company declares bankrupcy, all, and I mean all, the creditors come before ex-employees. You will not see a penny of the money you feel coming to you and you better be looking for medical and dental coverage. If you have kids, try the Healthy New York coverage for your kids and get the least amount of med coverage for you and spouse through private insurance. By the way, I am an ex-employee of AHM and worked directly for the CEO. I was shown the door in the most humiliating way imagable so I am not sorry for the demise of the company and the humilation that the CEO must be feeling, if he can feel. I do feel sorry for the employees - but most of you knew the kind of person the leader was/is. I don't want to say I feel sorry for him, and he might have a very high IQ, but he has a very, very low SQ - Social Quotent... to succeed in life SQ is very important - and it can't be learned!

Yeah, upper management isn't getting the 40% bonus but the retained employees helping to clean up and tie up loose ends at 520 and 538 are getting double-time.
Gee, I'd just like to get paid for August 2 and 3rd when we were told to punch in but not punch out. I was there 8-4 on Thursday and 9-2 that Friday.

AHM employees already got paid for 8/2 & 8/3. If you want a chance of getting your earned vaction pay....go to the AHM website, click on former employee & you must file a claim. Don't know if we'll ever see any of that!!!!!

Mary Lou, thanks for the info regarding our vacation pay. I had three weeks, probably never see any of this money. That's what I get for saving it for the holdidays. I also got paid for 8/2 and 8/3. I know of some branches that received their July bonuses also. Guess my manager didn't submit it like some. Just another nail in my coffin.
Good luck to all former AHM employees looking for employment....it's going to be tough if planning on staying in this industry. I have 15 yrs. experience and trying my best to GET OUT and try something new.
