So sorry for you and what this company did. I am a real estate appraiser and they owe me $7,000. They were a very big client for us. Not only do they owe me money for appraisals, but the last two checks they sent me totaling $4,000, "bounced."

Their greed and lack attention to their business is enough to put them in jail as far as I am concerned.

the GREED & CARELESSNESS of American Home Mortgage's management damaged thousands of people. Those executives should be held responsible, and not "take the money and run".

I was an AHM employee that no longer has a job because of this as well and it was earth shaking to say the least. Single Mom with 3 kids to support. Lost our health insurance the same day.
Shirleyann..... I heard our old apprisars check bounced too.

EXCUSE ME?????????? Thousands of people have lost their jobs. Most people, especially in New York, live paycheck to paycheck. Unemployment insurance does not go very far. HOW DARE you be so callous.

Ninety percent of Mr. Chin's revenue was derived from American Home. Thatís not a business. He was a personal assistant at best.

Now IndyMac bank has the brilliance to hire the Executive management team from AHM to be a part of their "Fantasy Retail Group"

I dont understand. Is INdyMac foolish, why would you taint yourself with their execs?

UNLESS, this was all a plan from the top. To ditch all of the "underlings" and keep the big shots around to swindle more.

MAKES ME SICK.

It seems that Mr. Chin made poor decisions in business and based his success on one factor- AHM. Goes to show that money does not buy shrewd business acumen.

The lesson here is not to put all your eggs in one basket.

If they're so brilliant, how come they're laying off people? Are they hiring the "management team" from AHM at the cost of their loyal longtime employees? Michael Strauss should be put in jail - I can almost guarantee you although his company filed for bankrutpcy protection, his personal assets, which are considerable, are intact, unlike the rest of the poor employees (me included) he stiffed. Try finding a job in the mortgage industry in this market!
