Court ruling boon to Portman campaign

Before a U.S. Supreme Court ruling in January, the most Cincinnati billionaire Carl Lindner could directly contribute to Senate candidate Rob Portman was $4,800. Governor Strickland's Job Czar is the greatest "boon" for Mr. Portman.

Fisher is clueless, arrogant, and trite.

Whether it's democrat or republican, this is crap.
It's not okay to buy an election for any candidate. This should be illegal. I don't have access to that kind of money so as usual my voice won't count. Then people wonder why people don't vote. The entire system is corrupt on both sides. Lobbiest should be illegal too. It's a fact that politicians will vote for what is in the best interest of themselves.

Why don't we just save the tax money for elections and just let these folk pick the new leaders? Three families will spend more this election than all of BIG LABOR and most folk won't even know their names.

Whoever this is, all they know are Republican Talking Points. The truth is the Corporations - including foreign corporations - can spend many, many times the amount the Unions give.

This ruling and this despicable corporate take-over of our elections marks the end of America's Experiment in Democracy. We are a Corporate Oligarchy now.

AGREE! ACORN, SEIU, the unions and George Soros completely changed the electorate in the 2008 presidential race.
The unions have unlimited monies to drop for their candidates and to smear their opponents.
This story is nothing of any issue as a private business man who is a legal citizen supports a legitimate candidate.
Unlike George Soros (foreign national billionaire) who supported the current resident of the white house. The super community organizer is not doing so well with his hope and change is he???

Why does this scare the Unions? Do they fear OPEN and honest competition in the election fund raising?

Tragic how far the union movement has sunk...they do not EVEN believe their own worth!
