I would never say hurtful or hateful things to you or to anyone unless you first said them to me. The fact that we disagree about smoking bans is no reason that we could not co exist peacefully. I have one friend who holds the same opinions you do about bans. We have agreed to disagree and no longer discuss it. My other friends agree with me, and nearly all of them are non-smokers.I know I'm sure feeling the love from your pirate pal!
Here is some historical information about his loving symbol that he so proudly displays along side all of his posts:
The name "Jolly Roger" is thought to have come from joli rouge (pretty red), a wry French description of the bloody banner flown by early privateers. The flags were meant to strike mortal terror in the hearts of the pirate's intended victims. They often featured skeletons, daggers, cuttlasses, or bleeding hearts on white, red, or black fields. The skull and crossbones motif first appeared around 1700 when French pirate Emanuel Wynne hoisted his fearful ensign in the Caribbean -- embellished with an hourglass to show his prey that their time was running out.
Guess my time is running out too, as soon as the Jolly Pirate reads this, it is probably gonna be curtains for me, gulp...
Ok, time for negotiations.. Like the civilized human beings that we are, I give us all a chance to settle these little name calling battles. Frank, you have been instrumental in helping me to make this offer with all the smokers on this forum.
The Happy Pirate can post ONE message venting at me for my prior post, nothing more thereafter. In return, I will not post anything derogatory about him or any other smoker on this forum (from here on) ever again. If Sheri says something derogatory to me, then the deal is off. The Pirate can only post once, with no backup from Sheri. If any other smoker attacks me with hateful words, the deal is off. That is my offer, and you have Frank to thank for it. We shall see if Happy and Sheri, along with the rest of you are willing to reach a peaceful truce...and I am even giving Happy a chance to put in a "last word" of sorts, in addition to ending this conflict. We shall see Frank. Perhaps they can be as civil as you are..
