My deepest condolences to the family. I didn't know her either, but I grew up in the area. Spook, what are you doing way down here in Roundtown?

Big Johnson , you make me want to throw up. Ever heard of KARMA ??? How would you like to lose a loved one in such a horrible accident ? Better yet, the world would be better off with you NOT being in it, You are a sick and poor excuse for a human being. KARMA

The paper said her name was Mary Stevens, 54 yrs. old. Yes I believe it was right before you get on 23 where the old railroad overpass is. Horrible tragedy.

Yeah from the description it was old 23/North Court, not far from Tink's Tavern. I didn't know the lady.

True story, my Grandpa was upset that my Mom was a girl. He wanted a boy so he could name him Archibald, if you knew my Gramps you would know that's true. He purposefully misspelled her middle name on the birth certificate, which was supposed to be Denise to Darice to get back at Gram for not giving him a boy. So my question is in earnest.

I don't remember hearing him called anything but Tink, though I'm sure it was only a nickname.

"Tink" Hill was my husband's great-great uncle. I was told he never had children...did he? Who is your grandpa? Tink (Eldon, his real name) is the brother to my husband's grandfather, Chester Perrill Hill. Would love to talk to you away from the forum. As for Ms. Stevens, I don't believe we knew her. Although, her name sounds very familiar. It is so sad that she passed in such a violent way. My condolences to her family and friends. They must be totally in shock. Accidents like this remind us just how important our families and friends are to us. Live each day as if it were your last!

My dad knew him but he passed away about four years ago. Threads sometimes stray from the original post. Sorry

Mary stevens was her name. she is my moms cousin and she was a good person. she wrecked on north court st right before you get on to 23 she ran right into the concrete wall of the raailroad abuntment. very sad and i think whoever makes jokes about anything like this is a very sick individual, god forbid you ever have a family member have this happen to them, then lets see how you feel and see how you feel if people make jokes about it. anyway..she was a wonderful person and is deeply missed,
