Folks,

Electricity in Columbus is cheap compared to other areas of this great nation. Stop complaining and complain to your cable company about having to purchase 200 channel packages when you really only watch 3 or to your cell phone company when they bait and switch you with their limited unlimited service or your internet provider when they start bandwidth limiting netflix or putting caps on how much you can download a month when you signed up for "high speed" service and they scammed you buy overselling and don't spend a $ on actually improving the speed.

I really hope the electric company will pull some fiber along with their smart meters and put companies like AT&T/TIME-WARNER out of business.

If you do not like the rate increases, complain to Obammer and his anti-coal EPA. They are forcing the power companies to install more and more pollution control equipment. That stuff is not free; in fact it often costs more than the plant originally cost to build - and as the supreme court ruling states, since Uncle Sam forced AEP to spend the money, it is appropriate for AEP to include the cost for that equipment in the electricity rates. Wait until Obammer pushes through legislation to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. That will cause the cost of power to skyrocket, and guess who will get stuck with paying for it: you and me.
