So, let me get this right, AEP overcharged us by almost a billion dollars and they got caught and have to pay it back BUT WAIT no they won't have to pay it back because they are going to raise our rates to pay the bill.

I not over smart but I really feel like I'm taking one up the butt.

Solar and Windmill power here I come.

They will make up for the unlawful charges by creating more unlawful charges, then paying the consumers back with their own money. How about taking away the big bonuses received by the CEO and his band of executive thieves...that will be a start. They ought to put the lying, cheating, fraudulent bast*ards in jail!

It's called a "turbine" not a "tribine". Hate to see you sinking your hard earned MARCELLUS shale check into the wrong place.

the courts ruling said more documentation is needed. They ate costs during deregulation and then Strickland decided to re-regulate electric companies. You can't have it both ways. Just look at past annual reports of AEP which is a publically traded company you can see they spent over $5 billion on environmental compliance with EPA mandates. It won't be hard to justify the costs.

I hope there is a penalty for AEP due to their theft.

Solar power works off minimal light from the sun as well as the heat, the new solar panels work hard with minimum sunlight for that very reason, especially with the gray skies here. Central Ohio is getting a lot of bad weather due to chemtrails being used to supposedly reflect back the sun in a very futile attempt to slow down global warming, but the use of this system is wreaking havoc on the current weather causing an upsurge of tornadoes and intense rainfall. We have trees dying here in central Ohio that are being poisoned by this atmospheric adding of chemicals, and two of these are known "heavy metal" elements. There is a video circulating on the internet called "What in the World are They Spraying?" Check it out, and you will see for yourself. This is NOT a conspiracy, this is reality. Many people here have never seen weather conditions like this ever in parts of Ohio and in the south as well. This process they are using does irreversible damage to whatever life exists in concentrated areas of spraying. AEP used to be a service utility, now they want to be a controlling power factor in everyone's lives, just like the Oil companies are attempting, and by the way, how is that investigation into high gasoline prices going Mr. Obama? Since the take down of Osama, that investigation has fallen off the back burner and onto the floor to be swept away, although I hope not. I suspect that lowering gas prices by Obama would be a much bigger coup than bagging bin laden, thus helping him get re-elected.

Imagine what this would be like if there weren't regulations! You'd be homeless cause you couldn't pay what they wanted you to pay. Think it's bad now?

PUCO allowed unlawful charges by AEP> this might give everyone some inkling of how WORTHLESS this bunch of PUCO numbnuts really are! I know of people that have submitted several complaints to this bunch of suits, NEVER A SINGLE RESPONSE or resolution to their complaints!

The penalties should be levied at the PUCO suits that allowed the rip-offs! They are actually the ones that allowed this theft!

Someone help me out with this: but isn't there a law that says they do not have to give the money back to the customers? I read that somewhere a couple of weeks ago, but can't remember where.

Let me see if i get this right,PUCO is giving AEP a week to answer some complicated questions on unlawful charges that PUCO already knew about?who is AEP going to provide more evidence to justify the charges too,the same state regulators, ridiculous ladies and gentlemen.AEP are utility nazi's who bullies middle class families with shut off notices, running up people's bills with out any justification. The poor families, regardless, are getting there electric shut off, leaving them in the dark for there food to spoil, people with children,i hear it all the time oh who cares about a bunch of welfare recipients. You don't understand,if we allow these greedy pigs to do that to those families,it can also happen to your family, don't think so,wait until hyper-inflation hits. You better think about it,and please people don't take the side of AEP,believe me they could care less about you or your family, they only care about there bank accounts and making you there debt slave.
