Need help with shirt

So I bought this AEO shirt and I can't figure out for the life of me how to wear it. It's a plain white shirt with the AE logo on the left side. The problem is that the shirt is so thin and white you can see through it. I've tried wearing an undershirt but then the collar sticks out and it looks stupid. I then tried to wear a beater underneath, but you can clearly see the beater. So I'm out of ideas on how to wear this shirt that I really like. Any suggestions?

It almost sounds as if it's made from hankerchief linen. What I would do with this type of item is layer it like the way you suggested with a graphic t underneath (it's ok if you can see the sleeves) and especially if the t has a graphic in the back, I think that would look way cool with the tranparency of the shirt. Or wear the shirt under a sweater, cardigan, or even a hoodie (zip or pullover), bringing attention to the collar, cuffs, and bottom hem.
