If you can give me a product or customer I will check it out but there are allways rumors of product being moved from plant to plant or to mexico or china.Unless your source gives you a product and date, it's just rumor.

i know its ford. are plant manager and egineers have already went down they told us it was a done deal. were losing a couple lines to delphi and somebody else and i think you are getting our c170 line so it can be a smart jb. were supposed to be able to start making them soon. we are all worried up here about our jobs. our contract is up and our plant went from like 600 people to 200. they said that line would save 17 jobs that other wise would have gotten laid off in june. I heard that we are supposed to get it in July. If I find out anything else I will let you know.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you.

We had some of the Zanesville people down here about a little more than a month ago. I thought they were looking at one of our sjb lines. I checked on the C170 and found that it is, in a new version coming here in July. As far as work coming to Zanesville from Tampa ,I havenít heard any thing. I have seen no evidence of banking or prep for equipment move. If something is coming in July you would think that some preparations would have started by now but it seems that some people in corp think that these products are plug and play and can be moved to other locations at drop of a hat so anything is possible. Any product or process can be moved, but if not done properly causes loses in productively, quality and profit.

I wish the best to all of the people at Zanesville. We are encountering many of the same problems your plant is dealing with to a lesser degree. We have 60+ people on lay off and are under pressure from corp. to take concessions on our contract. But we have a good work force that is a driving force for productivity and quality and if Lear is going to make it, this is what will save them, not shaking down the people that make the products.

we have people going there down next week. our contract is up in oct. we are not expecting much in the way of a wage increase. hell we make 14.05 a hour and there satisfied with that so they can keep there jobs. lear got rid of all of our assembly jobs and molding all we have left is jb solder tech and tpms. i wish the best for all of you in tampa.
