This is a sensible marketing move.
Listen to your customers, then take action promptly,
or you risk losing them to your competitors for good.
Hope this carries over to the southern California stores too.

The customers loved the free item when they returned their card but after that offer expired they dissappeared ! Imagine that , customers are not loyal anymore . They need to have everyday low prices in a store and be able to see that presonally !

The Albertson Store, 100 block Southfied Av, Shreveport, La has the dirtiest, unpleasant entry way of any store in the area. WHT?? The store is clean if you want to fight the cigarette butts, filthy concrete, and outside baskets stuffed with old sale flyers. It is a real put-off for shoppers. Can't something be done to improve the appearance. Makes one feel the food may not be handled with any better care.

I wonder if the same is true here in Boise, Idaho. I was once a regular shopper at Albertson's until they started their "loyalty" card program. I guess being a regular customer wasn't good enough for them, since I refused to have my purchases tracked & datamined. So they lost virtually all of my grocery shopping business to Wal-Mart. Heck, Wal-Mart even greets you at the door, how's that for customer appreciation? Too bad that it took Albertsons this long to finally get a clue.

well we are being run by a bunch of angry idiots who didnt go out to the stores and ask the customers how they felt about having a"loyalty card" they just made one because everyone else had one and got to pocket extra money for the dumb idea in the first place
