[This the "version 2" (v2) of this thread. The original got deleted for some reason. The remainder of this post is the OP from the original thread.]

I wanted to provide a thread where anyone here could post *whatever* is on their mind, and/or start a discussion about *anything*. If you want, the thread is right here, and *nothing* could possibly be "off-topic".:)

Obvious trolls should be ignored... unless you *want* to make some trolls look like fools, that is. Again, that's what this thread is all about-- whatever *you* want to say, do, start a discussion about *anything*, let us know what you're thinking, or stopping in to say "Hello", perhaps with a story.

I'm *pretty* sure that this thread will not be huge (LoL), but the *point* is that it's *here*. I know that *I* have many "off-topic" thoughts. Happy randomness!:)

I am still grumpy that Toxic took down the original thread. It contained nothing whatsoever that could be deemed harmful but they went off & deleted it anyway. Topix is all about Jewish Supremacy as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks, Walter, for using my words. I'm *very flattered*.:) I'm so happy that you've done this! I hope that *this* one stays, since it's always meant to be a friendly discussion thread!:) ;)

I am too, but Walter did the *right* thing... start a new thread with the same idea and aim for people.:)

Today is a beautiful day... I'm taking my dog to my favorite fenced-in baseball diamond to *run and play*(Irish Wolfhounds are *huge* dogs and need plenty of exercise, as well as a specially-ordered diet of food), picking up my engagement ring from Tiffany & Co because I'd noticed that they had messed up a prong while sizing it and it had to be *completely* reset... it took well over a month for them to fix it!(They'd *better* give me a discount on our next purchases there for this, as Tiffany's is *famous* for perfection!)

Well, here we go again... what's on your minds? I know that Aussie Bob is still upset... so am I, and I don't blame him.-smh-

That was the strangest deletion that I've *ever* seen.:/

Hey Lady Greensleeves.:) I'm glad you and Bob found this thread. That sounds like fun, enjoying the beautiful day and playing with your dog. Irish Wolfhounds are big; I just looked up some pictures because I didn't know what they looked like. They are so beautiful too.

I have to do housework (home improvement type stuff) pretty much all weekend :( We are having guests next week. I have to run to the hardware store in a bit. I'm just taking a quick break now. I wish I was out hiking or something else to enjoy the outdoors instead. It's a beautiful day here too.

I found the old thread cached on Google. I saved the first page to my computer. I could also find the other pages as well and save those. I'll do that later on today when I have time -- I hope they are still there. That way, if I wanted to, I could re-create the whole thread again. There is some info in there I want to reread anyways.

LOL... that would be *wicked*, Walter-- reposting what had been, for some reason, deleted.:) ;)

Yeah. I saved 15 pages. All posts through Nov 10th I have. The ones posted after Nov 10th are gone.

That's still cool that you have so many back posts (is that the word? LoL!).

Good afternoon, everybody.:) I'm wrapped up in a the *softest*, most *wonderful* huge electric blanket that my mom got for me 2 years ago; I've just come in from taking my Irish Wolfhound for a nice walk. It's *so* chilly out today!:) This blanket is *fantastic* because our house burns oil (I think because it's so old), and it's so expensive!:/ We have two fireplaces, one in the living room and one in the bedroom, that we're having prepared for use, though.(Yayyy, I LOVE fireplaces!-does a skippy, Snoopy-like dance- LoL)

How is everybody?:)

Irish Wolfhounds are *huge*, but they're *wonderful* dogs. They have a sweet disposition, are great with kids, but *beware* if you mean any sort of harm to the family!:)

How was having guests for the weekend?:)

Hey Lady Greensleeves.:) Our guests were supposed to come tomorrow but they had to back out. We are going to reschedule for another time.

Are you planning on doing any travelling for the holiday this week?

Hey Walter.:) The only traveling that we're doing is to my parents' house, where the food is *all* homemade, right down to the gravy, and is the best-- 3 cheers for my mom and my eldest younger brother, and my bro's very own butter pecan pie!-- and so is the fun! My dad is leaving for work in the afternoon... he works at the hospital, but as Head Engineer way down in the sub-basement. Then we'll go to my fiance's parents' house, where there's a lot of people, and they have an odd penchant for *not* cooking their food well: well as in "well-done", and well as in "mmmm, delicious!". Thankfully, we'll be full from eating at *my* house, LoL. ;)

I can't wait for my mom's homemade stuffing from inside the bird, and the French meat stuffing (both family recipes) that my mom and little brother will be making.:)*Everyone* asks for the recipes, especially to our French meat stuffing/pies from my dad's side (most people have never had it before we serve it to them), but shhhh... it's a secret between Mama, Daddy, my two bros, and myself now (now including my fiance; that's *all* it's *own* story), and it's more than knowing the ingredients anyway, and there are no measurements. You "just know" how much of this, this, and that, etc, to put in, and you taste until it's perfect. It's *true* cooking, like the vast, vast majority of what my mom does (and what I luckily inherited and learned from her).

Then we head home with *lots* of scrumptious leftovers from *my* house (yes, I still and will always call my parents' house *my* house), and take a nap.:D

Do you have any sort of plans?:)

That all sounds so wonderful. I'm so happy for you and all your family.:)

Our plans have changed since our guests won't be with us. Actually, we haven't made plans yet. I'm sure we'll be doing some cooking, though.

I apologize to both of you for my irrational & harsh words. I think I am on the verge of another breakdown due to what is currently happening in this world. That is my way of processing the pointlessness & needless loss of it all.

The average American wants to bring good into this world & I know the people who post in this forum have goodness & kindness in their hearts. The rulers of America are a totally different kettle of fish however. They will happily bring ruination onto us all.

I know what you mean. No worries.(isn't that what Aussies say? I think that may be something Americans have started to adopt).

Anyways, it's hard not to worry sometimes. I'm glad there are people who are at least concerned about the future and genuinely want what's best for it. I'm glad I've met some of them here on these forums. I'm thinking right now of the Serenity Prayer. An old Marine taught it to me. Here it is:

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.
