Midwest strikes back???? Sure if you want to call contracting flying out to a regional carrier that has absolutley no "connection" with the folks of MKE or the original, highly praised, mainline airline.

Southwest and Airtran should have easy pickens in MKE

When the majority of your flying is done by a regional such as Republic, why carry the name Midwest, you should rename the airline and call it Republic. Don't fool the general public in thinking this is their hometown airline, it used to be, but not anymore since the majority of the flying is outsourced to companies like Republic who hire pilots making $18,000/year and laying off Midwest pilots who refuse to fly for the low insulting wage. You should really feel safe flying the Embraer 190s now. Does Colgan ring a bell folks.

The reporter is getting stoned and have bad reporting sources. Republic does not have E190, they have E175 flying for US Airways Express.
Unless hell freezes over, I will not buy an airline ticket flying regional airplane transcon. WN have friendly gate agents, pilots and flight attendants. They only draw back is they seem to carry alot of fat ass americans.

Eric A,
Republic is getting E190s, Midwest is their first test market. Do some more research please.

Rumor is Midwest Airlines was at the grade school career day trying to talk the kids into flying the E190 for less than the kids at Republic. I agree the service should be offered by Republic, calling it Midwest is an insult to all the loyal employees on the street that actually were Midwest employees.
