How can flying into Ft Myers be a better move for Air Tran? The airport at Ft Myers isn't much bigger than Moline and what connections can you possibly make from there vs Atlanta? I can't believe they made such a stupid statement.

I'm rather surprised at this change. When Airtran already has flights to Florida (Orlando), why add another florida stop in Ft. Meyers? Seems to me that if the flights are always full, then it's a necessity. I can't imagine a lot of business travelers booking to Ft. Meyers where they did to or through their flight to Atlanta.

I personally choose to go through Atlanta vs O' Hare, because I like Hartsfield Airport better than O' Hares many delays!

I think it is a bad move, but it will be great for DELTA, who offer 5 flights daily. Perhaps they'll add more to gain the business of travelers. So long airtran, hello Delta!

AirTran needs to charge enough to make it profitable. Full flights have little to do with it.

This is a major blow to our traveling preferrence. I travel on airtran at least 3 to 5 times a year straight from Moline to Atlanta... I live in Atlanta and my family lives in Iowa. This is very disappointing.

Now I will just have to drive to Chicago again to get the cheap fares. They will skyrocket out of Moline now.

At least the tax payers are not paying to have AirTran service the QC Airport. This part is never mentioned.

Delta wins!!! You lose!!! Fares will triple. The airport fees at this airport are outrageous, Airtran can't make a profit and keep their low fares. I doubt the Orlando and Ft. Myers flights last long even though those fares will be higher than the Atlanta connection.

We just booked a flight for Dec. 1 on AirTran thru Atlanta last Friday, don't you think they knew when they were going to stop flying to Atlanta then, but they took our reservation. I think they are out to see how many people they can rip off. I will drive to Chicago before I will fly AirTran again.

I live in Atlanta and fly direct to Moline to still see family there. It was great especially when my children would want to see their grandparents as I was more at ease with a direct flight. I am very disappointed with this decision by Airtran and will now go to Delta to fly direct from Atalanta to Moline.

So sorry to see Airtran leave. I have been a flight attendant for 25 yrs for a competitor. No one in our industry likes to see service disrupted in any city. I live in the Quad Cities and have paid full fares for my grandsons to fly in to visit twice a year from Atlanta. I am going to miss Airtran's great service and route.
