What do you tend to cook more, and or bake more?

Do you shop at a Meat Shop, grow your own, or local grocery?

I don't have a garden now but growing up we always had a huge garden.
I can remember my grandparents and mom tending the plants and canning everything.
I love to can....made so many jars of "stuff" but don't do it anymore. I used to make
An Italian Purple Plum conserve.....to die for!

Wow, Spook, you're amazing! I don't know how you keep up....
The conserve is delicious.
Italian plums, oranges with thick skin, and can add walnuts....
Can put on toast, muffins, ice cream or whatever. Chunky like a preserve.
The flavor is so unique and pleasant tasting.
If you or anyone is interested, I'll post the recipe upon request!
The Italian Purple Plums come in the fall for a brief time....

I used to make jams and or jellies because I had a pear, apple, and peach tree in the yard.
Canned sauce, fruits and homemade Italian sausage(in oil).
Making the sausage was fun and canned some and dried some. Yum!

I did a lot back then when the family was growing up. I miss all that, strangely.....

I smoke it for a day, then hang it in the cooler. I use sage, ground habanero, cumin, tyme. No recipe just trials until I found what I liked.

I love to bake macaroni and cheese using quality cheddar cheese. I stir half of them cheddar into the macaroni and sprinkle the rest on top. You can also use bread crumbs on top. Don't forget to sprinkle papariika overall before you bake.

I also like to use mozerrella cheese on my macaroni and cheese with my cheddar cheese. No fake cheese though some many use it.

Today, we're sharing a cooking playlist that's inspired by some classic songs.

Clicking on the song's title reveals a recipe inspired by the song!

"One More Cup of Coffee" (Bob Dylan)

"New York, New York" (Frank Sinatra)

"Scarborough Fair" (Simon & Garfunkel)

"Johnny B. Goode" (Chuck Berry)
