No--it is just as I said yesterday.

By attacking me, and overlooking those who are busy attacking the victims, you cast yourself in a particular light.

If you think that the victim-blamers are being premature, making race-based assumptions, assuming guilt without a trial--all thouse things you are busy accusing me of, you certainly have not articulated that viewpoint.

You are trying to wiggle out.

You claim to be "fair and balanced" (hmmm, where have I heard that before), yet in an open discussion you overlook attacks on victims while claiming that someone who looks at the evidence presented by the defense (and make no mistake--Zimmerman's defense is quite overtly attempting to sway public opinion at this point) with a skeptical eye has a racial bias against the accused.

A. I have never claimed to be fair or balanced, however I have never said anyone was guilty or innocent pre trial........

B. Your insistence on referring to the decedent pre trial as a victim says it all skimmer.......

Tray of stolen avon, shortened to treyvon, is a victim ...... of his own lazy thuglet and animalistic behavior.

The only thing that should be done in this case is treyvon's mother and father should be sterilized to prevent more treyvons.

In both cases there is a victim, a dead body.

The question for trial is whether the young men were murdered or just killed.

Beyond a reasonable doubt, Zimmerman suffered injuries from an altercation with Martin. I take umbrage at your last sentence; whether murdered or just killed, he's dead, which contradicts your stance/verbiage on many of your posts on multiple threads regarding this subject.

You have definitively taken Trayvon's side, pushed to the side any shred of evidence to the contrary in accordance to the law.

Not the judge nor the jury. bb has been as neutral on this as I have been yet you have accused many for being biased. The only slanted opinion, from a regular poster on this forum, has been yours.

I have always been on zimmermans side. He lived in that gated community tray of stolen avon did not. Thus trespassers are fair game in my book. Zimmerman as a resident had and has every right to shoot trespassers. Zimmermans mistake was calling the union hall first.

LOL...

Well then, in the case of Zimmerman.... if it is determined that he was brutally attacked and in fear of losing his life by a trial or even just by the dropping of charges; I assume that you would have no problem labeling Zimmerman a "victim".

Because you are fair and balanced right........

In your scenario, Zimmerman would be a free man and Trayvon would still be dead, see the difference?

OK--point out the evidence that Trayvon approached Zimmerman and knocked him over in an unprovoked attack.

While you are at it, maybe some evidence that Trayvon was doing ANYTHING at all under the sun other than walking back home from a convenience store.

Meanwhile, there is evidence that Zimmerman was altering his story as he went along (told the Dispatcher he was following Trayvon--later reneged on it; claimed Trayvon jumped out of the bushes--then in the light of day when he realized how puny the only bushes in the area were he changed this to jumping out of the darkness; location of various events--such as Trayvon circling Zimmerman's vehicle--don't match with the real-time sequence in the call to police; inability to account for how he could be knocked to the ground and held pinned at the point where two sidewalks met but end up standing over Trayvon's dead body a full backyard away from that).

If you want to argue evidence, then you really need to present some.

Shhh! I simply said that there was no doubt that there was an altercation. The Zimmerman photos prove that. No one would self mutilate or calculate to that degree, much to your dismay. Bottom line did he act within the law? Not my call nor yours. You want to argue with bb and me, when neither one of us have stated anything except facts that you continually dispute and defend a young black man that may have been in the wrong. I never claimed to be a lawyer, understand Florida law (Bobby even knows better than to do that), nor was I there. You, apparently know exactly what happened that evening and accuse us for being stupid. Last time I checked, you live in Ohio not Florida, yet you scanned his skittles, were the police dispatcher, etc. If you were there, then why didn't you stop Zimmerman? bb and I give you something to think about, neither one of us have taken sides, yet per usual you refuse to consider anything other than your own tenets. You type for the sake of typing on this issue.

Ok, I will take the bait......

Spook has apparently formed the opinion that Zimmerman was attacked by Martin and that Zimmerman had a right to use deadly force to protect himself.

Having read many posts by Spook where he has advocated the same action against criminals of any race, I would say that his opinion is without a doubt NOT motivated by race.
His has been consistent in his disdain for all criminals.
In fact if Zimmerman had been 100% black and Martin had been 100% White Hispanic (LOL) there is no doubt in my mind it would not have changed Spooks solution......

You on the other hand are obviously motivated by your desire to point your finger a proclaim that this incident is proof positive that the so called "white Hispanic man" is a racist and the black man is always oppressed........

There is no doubt in my mind that had a photo of Martin been released showing the same type of injuries shown in the Zimmerman photo, you and all the other race baiters on here would have proclaimed it as proof of an attack by Zimmerman and excepted it as "evidence" in your posts calling for justice against him.......

You have been consistent as well in a different way.
You seem to be highly motivated by race among other things,
(anti conservative Christians, conservative thought of any kind etc.)
You have been consistently willing to overlook the criminal behavior of most any black, radical muslims etc. preferring to place the blame elsewhere.(poverty, oppression blah blah etc. etc.)
Apparently the concept of personal responsibility for actions has been lost on you

The only exception to that rule is of course if Black folks etc. step off the Progressive plantation and express conservative views, then you are quite willing to throw them under the bus.........

Frankly you are a whiny old white guilt hippie and your Ad nauseam
posts, your refusal to grant the smallest modicum of consideration that any view other than your own has merit, is just getting boring and annoying

Not only have you not presented any such facts (suggesting that Trayvon was "in the wrong"), but I don't believe that bb has either.

Yes--I am defending a young black man who is now dead. And in particular I am defending him against the supposition that somehow he deserved to die.

And the interesting thing about the allegation that he deserved to die, is that a good many people who post here, as well as Zimmerman's defense team, having failed to come up with any evidence from the scene, have gone on a tremendous fishing expedition--going after Facebook postings, twitter accounts and the complete school record (including such things as extracurricular activities, book fees, attendance records, grades ad infinitum--according to the subpoena) looking for "evidence" that this was not a young man, somebody's son, but rather, as Spook said above, a thug--deserving death.

The Florida Stand Your Ground law may not be helpful, but there are others, such as Florida's wide-open public records law when it comes to the release of any and all discovery items prior to trial. Combine this with O'Mara's use of the internet--possibly getting a bit ahead of existing ethics considerations--to put out in public a good bit of stuff that likely will never be admissible in court. Hence, any and all jurors are likely to see a lot of stuff that is primarily prejudicial.

You don't wanna be bothered with the heavy thinking, fine, there are lots of other threads. Personally, I find plenty to be concerned about.
