Yeppers. Going to Spookies house. He still owes me dinner. I will eschew that for a cot in the bunker. I'm great at not eating.

Not a decoy. You will be in the bunker, just everyone will have some chores to do while I am out hunting.
I might break a nail, remember that I am a diva.

Everybody should visit the ruins at Pompeii at least once in their lifetime. You will find that 2,000 years ago people lived pretty much the same as they do today. All you really need is water and food and we have plenty of it here in the USA.
Pompeii was part of a stable civilization. Post-Roman Britain would be a better example.

I believe you're right, Tony. There has been a severe breakdown of civilation in most of our inner city areas.

All of the major riots of the last fifty years have started in the inner city ghettos of America, Los Angles twice in 1965, then the Rodney King riots later, also in Detroit, Newark New Jersey, so I imagine the further away you are from the inner city / Section 8 public housing developments the better.

The sad thing is most of the people who live in those places aren't bad people, they're just the easiest targets for thuggery.

I agree. However the violence in those areas makes them poor areas to make business investments so you have a cycle of despair that develops, no jobs, violence, and on and on.

Good cheap read on Kindle (and probably other e-readers)is A Distant Eden by Tackitt. It describes how civilization could be destroyed by a large enough solar flare.
