He is a pos he caused this girls death and should be tried accordingly, wreckless homicide fits because,1.) he jumped into HER car and tried to drive away 2.) He knew he had a suspended license 3.) He should be charged with carjacking also 4.) Added to that causing a death while committing a felony(grandtheft) I am sure there are other charges but the 8 years is nothing to the child that will never see her mother again. He needs to die because his actions caused her death.

I think he should be charged but vehicular homocide might be a stretch. She caused her own death by trying to fight with a moving vehicle. She should have let him take the car and called the cops.

Theft, assault, reckless endangerment, driving under suspension all fit but the vehicular homocide charge is just a ploy to force a plea deal.

If anyone knew them they would know that they always would fight then get back together so the domestic violance was as much her faught as his. As far as her reaching in for the keys no she was so messed up she didn't know where the keys even were. Get the autopsy report and see what she had in her system. Also check into the fact that she had a drinking problem and when she was drinking she would always want to fight with someone even her own family. She had no business driving in the condition she was in and that is why he was trying to get the car away from her. It is a shame that she died she was to young to go but when you let your children run the streets from the age of 12 on then at some point they will get involved with things they should have been shieled from. She was a child who had a baby and this is happening to much now days I guess parents are to busy to know what their children are doing or is it that they don't care because they are too busy with their own problems.

If anyone knew these 2 kids knew how they fought. She was 19 , not legal to drink. Anyone can read the coroners toxicolgly report. She had so much alcolcol and xnanax in her system. I doubt she even knew where she was. Jusy lucky she didnt have thier child in the car at the time. He got his license suspended because of a random insurance check. Thats the only reason the car was in her name.It belonged to both of them. I doubt she was reaching in for keys, more like to fight some more and he was trying to get away. Maybe her mother should of raised her better. She let them run the streets and never knew where she or her brother were. now she does, ones in a grave the others in prison.

WOW, the dispatch knows how to one side a story. He never layed a hand on her til she would start her crap while drinking. He would try to hold her , so she bit, scratched , kicked him. I have seen the black eyes she had given him. The only reason he never filed charges , was cause of thier daughter. She may be an angel now, but she wasnt here on earth. Hopefully, he has a decent attorney , and the truth will come out.Her family didnt know her. They want you to think they were close. She and her daughter practially lived with him and his parents. She got the drinking honest. Her mother and step-father are drunks. Sure they hurt and want someone to pay. But whats taking him from his daughter going to do? shes lost one parent , does she need to visit her daddy in prison? nothing that happens to him, is going to bring her back.

Why is he a jerk? she has nothing to do with the fact she was messed up drinking and taking pills.(He did not force her to drink or take drugs) but he is the one they blame she was no angel she was just a child who never grew up and would fight with the best of them men and women and yes she would throw the first punch.

He's a jerk. If she was that much of a psycho he should have left her. I think they enabled each other. There's plenty of blame to go around but she's the one who is dead. He needs to be taken to task for it, but not to the degree some people demand.

oh yes, here's another blame the victim posting...Knows the Truth: have you ever studied the cycle of violence? check out http://www.domesticviolence.org/cycle-of-viol... google cycle of violence. the fact that they got back together after he beat her is wholly consistent with this sick phenomenom. please educate yourself before postin.

I hope that "knew them both" and "I knew them" plan on getting in contact with his attorney and give the information you know and what you witnessed. He may need you rhelp.

I feel sorry for the child involved... she lost her mother (if you want to call her that) and now she is about to lose her dad! Awful. No child should ever have to go through that.

Based on what I've read she sounds like the victim of her own temper and reckless behavior as much as his poor judgment. In order for justice to be served we have to scrutinize the victim and ask ourselves how their actions contributed to their own demise.

You have read one article that the Dispatch has written (btw, the not always partial Dispatch) and you are you quick to determine that this lady was the victim? I would like to see the entire case file for the domestic violence charge before I make such assumptions.

Could he have been the victim of domestic violence?

I think that if the truth comes out that she was a drunk and a pill head with a hot temper who liked to fight, it is going to be a difficult job for the prosecution and rightfully so.

The legal facts of the case are what determines the charges. The background information is important in determining the sentencing (mitigating or aggravating circumstances). Regardless.....he did drive without a license and a "random insurance check" ensures complinace with the law. You have to have insurance or a bond to drive in Ohio. Please do not make excuses for not following the law.

Well, I did and Sounds like mom is defending her son but i have been their when she was threatened by him and his family and they had a good rep for threatning others lives ..Just admit he took a wonderful girls life and now must pay for the actions taken that night. The bottom line is this if he would have listned to the judge in the first place she would have still been here. second if he would not have been behind the wheel of that car she would have been here! suspended license means no driving priv. last time i checked so their you have it.
