"A memorial now exists in the alley where Coleman was shot...".

I'll bet the property owners and residents are just effing thrilled about that junk going up.

I wonder of mom spoke out about this:

While no suspects have been arrested for the shooting, three members of the victim's family were taken into custody at the hospital, after allegedly becoming involved in a large-scale fight with police officers.

A second fight broke out at the hospital a short time later, which also is believed to have involved friends or family members of the shooting victim. Police have not disclosed any arrests that may have been made as a result of the second fight.

Fifteen and shot twice

"Fifteen and Shot Twice". That could a new show on the crappy MTV Network lineup after "Sixteen and Pregnant".

As always, the same b.s. with these people: "He was a good boy. He was in no gang. He went ta school. He wanted ta be a docta when he grow up".

Of course, these same shootings always happen with the white kids in Dublin, New Albany, Gahanna Hilliard, Canal Winchester and everywhere else.

And were are being told the problem is all with semi-automatic firearms.

Kaewaun Coleman is Trayvon Martin without George Zimmerman and the fan fare; an angry young man with a gun in his hand in the ghetto.

Busing in 1977 Federal Lawsuit heard by Judge Duncan resulted in White Flight in the 80's and a smaller Black Flight in the 90's. Several "White" Schools due to mismanaged Black Schools like Mohawk.

Actions at Linden today show that White (and later Black) parents were right to flee the multicultural nonsense of busing for racial equality and equity.

However the real motivating factor was and always has been liberal White Guilt.

Coleman fiddles while Rome burns, just like Marion Berry in Washington D.C., Maxine Waters in Los Angeles and Charley Rangel in Harlem, or Idi Amin in Uganda or Papa Doc in Haiti or (I forget his name) in Zimbabwae.

Verbatim from the story:

"According to Franklin County Juvenile Court records, Coleman was placed on electronic monitoring – an ankle monitor – in December after he was charged with delinquency counts of criminal damaging and assault. In September, he allegedly threw a brick and a fire-hydrant cap through the windshield of a car, bruising the driver. He was scheduled to stand trial on the charges in February.

Coleman had been on probation since July 2011, after he was convicted of a delinquency burglary count for breaking into a North Side townhome. He was placed on electronic monitoring in that case, too, with the magistrate ruling that he could leave home “for school only.”

The court found he was in violation of the terms of his probation several times – for being suspended from school, being tardy more than 60 times and “continuing to post pictures on his Facebook page displaying gang signs and associating with known gang members.”

The Columbus version of Trayon Martin.

If this didn't happen, eventually, he would have met up with a George Zimmerman.

I'd call the police if someone put up a junk pile "memorial" in my yard. It would go in the trash Thursday morning, teddy bears stapled to crosses and all.

I don't understand why people have to be such dicks.

There are laffs to be had here. You could go racist and add a KKK action figure and a watermelon. Or take a more light-hearted approach with an inflatable doll or chattering teeth. Or even take the concept to its logical conclusion and add your own household trash. Empty your ashtrays. Maybe you have an old tire in the garage you need to get rid of.

Add more trash to the trash... I mean memorial... in my yard? Sorry, not going to happen. I care how my yard looks.

Obviously this kid is not the one that anyone would choose to be the poster child for gun control, or anything else. Hard telling what went on at the hospital, but my best guess is that it was a continuation of what went on in the alley, which was a continuation of something that went on at school--and on and on.

But maybe someone would be willing to flash back to some point in this kid's life when he had a chance. How far back would you need to go? Kindegarten? Birth? Because there are plenty more like him. Lot more chances to try to get it right.

Sneer all you want at the kid's family and neighborhood. It doesn't look like they were ones who gave up on him.

Lotta talk here about trash and not giving a damn.

Anyone posting here give a damn?

Well, tip, if you think about it, if you lead a horse to water and it doesn't drink, it is time to consider the possibility that the horse is ill or that there is something wrong with the water. Because the normal state of horses, and all other creatures, is to take on water as needed.

Now, I will grant, that I have been setting out water for a number of folks on Topix for quite some time and they ain't been drinking. So, what is it that prevents them from seeking a healthy, well watered status? Are they afraid of the water (or knowledge) for some reason? Did something happen to them to convince them that drinking the water is associated with danger?

I do credit people with being smarter than horses.
