Let's get it started. Now.

Candidates are probably set, Kasich wins with 57% of the vote, gets into his head that he would make good President, does badly in 2016 primaries.

Thoughts?

(and can we keep it on track without the usual tolling?)

All of those electronic voting machines should suddenly come down with a severe case of spontaneous (not human) combustion. Then we can get back to our Republic.

My prediction is that George will be posting 200 times a day about it when the time comes.

Right now we are supposed to be whining incessantly about terrorists in Boston, since Benghazi was such a flop.

Why do you refer to him as PO 14. What are you trying to communicate?

I can see Kasich attempting a run for the republican nominee. I can't see him becoming nominee. The repub side just don't have it's act together right now.

I think it's possible that Kasich is viable, though. He was mentioned in 08 as a possible running mate with McCain. MHO is McCain would have performed better with Kasich than Palin. Sorry dudes, I think Palin is an airhead -- bad for the conservative side. We need more intellectuals.

I think he's doing a fair to decent job as governor. Don't necessarily agree with him half the time, but he's aware at least of what I perceive to be a dire need to bring new industry to the state, particularly in the northern half.

Have also been wondering if Boehner has ever considered jumping from Senate to try. I think he'd have a worst chance than Kasich. He seems to be viewed as Darth Vader.

And Johnson, go away. Shut up unless you have something substantive to offer instead of troll crap.

Boehner has no need to leave the House until he has served 8 years as speaker, after which conference rules dictate he must leave.

He will probably retire if he is still speaker by 2018, though if he becomes popular somehow, it's almost certain he would run for President.

IMO, if Governor Martinez of New Mexico decides to run for President (highly likely she will be re-elected, and I would be willing to consider supporting her if the GOP gets a total victory in NM next year) then Boehner would probably be her choice for VP.

I will probably support Kasich if he runs mainly because we haven't had an Ohio candidate for President since Kasich in 2000. I'd support Portman even if he ran, and I'm not much of a fan of his.(Portman is almost certain to be re-elected in a landslide).

Google: Boehner daughter Jamaican

That probably ensures he won't be going any higher.

It's just Che Reactionary Communist asking a rhetorical question.

Ed FitzGerald was named Public Official Number 14 in the federal investigation of Cuyahoga County, he cooperated with Neiheiser and DiMora in getting a deal done. He wasn't charged with anything, but was involved in the County Machine, and is seen as the proxy of Bill Mason the main figure not charged despite in my opinion reasonable evidence that his office was hiring cronies and was having his relatives hired in other county departments.

Simply put, his hands are stained with corruption of the Cuyahoga Machine.

Say what you want about Kasich, but the worst he ever did was possibly give bad investment advice. With the cards handed him, he's balanced the budget with no tax increases and witnessed a drop in unemployment greater than the neighboring states.

In comparison, all D controlled Illinois now has one of the nation's worst unemployment rates.

I would really like to see him replaced in a party coup.

I personally think that he should be replaced with either Marsha Blackburn (TN), Tom McClintock (CA) or Jim Jordan (OH)

All excellent choices. Blackburn would drive Pelosi into a meltdown.

I would like to see a non-member become Speaker, as I don't think the office should be a partisan one.

But Boehner is miles ahead of the UK speaker.

He's never answered it once, at least that I have seen. He doesn't have the integrity. You've answered it for him a couple of times.

Since you want to speak for him, why does he think that is relevant to the gubernatorial race?

Of course, you conveniently forget to tell the whole story, specifically that the Federal Prosecutors have specifically said Fitzgerald had no role in that saga.
