Setting of some homemade fireworks. Nothing says happy new year like making the sky as brite as the sun.

Going to early movie and dinner so I can be home by 5 and hope it is early enough that all the drunks are still in the bars and NOT on the ROADS. Back when my kids were young we had several couples/friends in same boat, small kids & little money, so we would host a carry in including kids and had various beds made in crib, floor and so forth so they coud sleep while we played cards, charades, danced and ate way to much. Don't think todays young couples do that do they? Not exciting enough for them.

Smart out of you to do fireworks, some people shoot guns at Midnight and in Columbus have killed others. HAPPY NEW YEAR, wished I lived close enough to see them, I will look, never know, just might spot them!

Oh, me, the hubby and dogs are coming to your house to hang out, eat all your food and drink all your booze. Thought that was understood. Keefer said it'd be 'fine with Glitter.'

That I did. Guilty. I'm thinking there will be Courvoisier, Dom Perignon, and Lafite Rothschild Bordeaux. High class, no cripple or Bud Light.

You are in rare form against me on this thread. The topic is not "pick on glitter" lol

It blows my actual mind that people drink Stella out in the states. In the UK it fills the same niche that Pabst does back home, being the cheapest beer you can find readily available. It's often called "wifebeater" for its popularity with chavs. But back home it's marketed as a niceish import. Which is wonderfully strange.

We've got to move you on to better Belgian stuff. This is probably a pain to find in the states (as well as being off-puttingly strong) but is one of the best Belgian options I've found out here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tripel_Karmeliet

There's also La Loubécoise if you want a novelty that's a right pain to track down. Belgian dark ale with a bit of maple syrup in it to offset the heaviness. We had to order a case of it to be able to find it. Totally worth it, though!

Rather than Stella or going through all of the fuss of getting fancy Belgian stuff, I would be reveling in the very nice craft beers that the states seems to be full of these days.

Does the states get any of the Brewdog beers?
