I don't waste my breath praying. I just hope no one dies sitting in their car waiting for traffic to start moving. It's too hot to just sit there and bake.

"keepin it real"? My grandmother always said, if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all"!!!!!!!!! God forbid, if that was your child or young family member, wouldn't you want the entire scene investigated, wouldn't you want the auto that your loved one was killed in to be removed from the scene before all the "rubber neckers" drove by to see the tragedy. I mean, we are all curious, we are human. but that family has the right to a little bit of privacy and some respect should be given. from what i have read, this was a child who died, how heartless can you be. i mean pleaseeeee. do you have children? my god, my world would stop turning if it were one of my babies. shame on you

The intent of my post has been misinterpreted. By all means investigate the crash to the fullest extent. Just don't start with the whole "praying to god" silliness. It seems like every time someone dies you people start this pray thing up. If anyone should consider not saying anything at all it is you believers with your "god's will" mumbo-jumbo. I am more concerned about the people stuck in traffic on such a hot day!

A young girl of 10 lost her life. That is real. I believe the intent of your post was taken just as you had hoped it would.

Let me repeat: I do not pray and find the idea of prayer ridiculous. I hope there are no heat-related tragedies resulting from the prolonged wait in traffic while the accident is investigated.

I believe the car turned in front of the truck. Obviously the driver was not paying full attention -- if any -- to the task of driving. Must have been a real interesting text message!

Why is that you think you have more of a right to post your belief here than the people that do believe in a God and wish to pray to him. Last I checked we still have the freedom of religion in this country. You have the right not to pray just as much as anyone else has the right to pray. I don't see anyone on this post calling you out for your choice, why do you feel the need to jump all over someone for theirs? The entire intent of your post was to incite others. Period.

Why do you assume that the semi-truck driver was at fault? What exactly do you want stopped? Trucking? America would come to a complete stop if we took all semis off the road.

I had to drive this miserable Rt 23 highway every day for 16 years and have witnessed numerous wrecks and fatalities, especially North of Columbus where it bottlenecks and slows to stop/start driving near Delaware county. This "highway" is 400% over it's rated vehicular capacity, and that was 15 years ago and now it's even worse. The police and Sheriff have had to sweep up and scrape off many extremely graphic & disturbing wrecks because SO many people drive this road,2 feet from one another's bumper,SO close in fact that there's zero reaction time if someone brakes for a deer or another car pulling across which,by the way happens ALOT because folks have to wait 3-6 minutes for a clear spot JUST to pull out,so they just get frustrated, angry and cut in with the thoughts of" the other drivers have brakes, use them".I see it every day & have narrowly escaped numerous near collisions by inches.
The State and counties simply MUST widen this road of death to 6-8 lanes thru the entire state. There's too much traffic and too little room for the numbers that travel this road daily. It's gotten SO dangerous up here that the troopers have stopped pulling speeders over N of Columbus because it's too risky for the cops. The only way troopers stop speeders up here is if you do something extremely dumb and dangerous. If you drive 65-75 they'll 95% of the time ignore you.
I have talked to troopers til I am blue in the face about widening it & if they know anything about plans to do so & have been told that it will likely NOT be widened.I just told him to be prepared to attend ALOT of fatality wrecks as this will only get worse as Delaware & other counties around this highway grow with more & more impatient drivers pulling out in front of or swerving into other drivers because of such long waits to merge into traffic.
My sympathies are given to all the families that have been needlessly shattered by loss of their loved ones because the State is unconcerned with this "known" deadly road to make it wider and
safer to drive.God forbid,if one of my family members were to die on this road,I would certainly hold the State accountable because this danger CAN be made safer if they cared.
