Sure. It's cheaper.
only problem with shore gas is the ethanol in it.

marina gas has no ethanol, and considerably more expensive.

I add a product to shore fuel that does something to eliminate the harmful effects of ethanol.

ethanol eats fittings and hoses.

if you drive a car that is over7 years old, expect ethanol to provide you a very hefty repair bill.

Ethanol attracts moisture is its main problem in things that don't run everyday.

Hauling a boat with a full tank down the highway just doesn't strike me as safe boatsmanship. Especially all the way from Columbus to Lake Erie.

Much as I hate to admit it, RS is right about one thing; marina gas is a lot more expensive than a standard gas station.

But think about all the vehicles that are on the road with potentially dangerous fuels: motorhomes, pickup trucks hauling trailers with propane tanks (who knows if they are empty), gasoline tankers, etc. Not to mention all the volatiles on railroads heading right through the middle of cities.

A significant number of boaters, in my empirical observations over the years, aren't the most safety conscious. So his conduct doesn't surprise me a bit.

hey stupid....is Columbus the only town with a gas station?

you need to get out of the slum more often.

I towed less than a mile to launch with a full tank.

you stupid ignorant trolls have to lie and spin and attempt to discredit those that show daily what a parasite you are.

if you are thirsty, there is at least a bucket of bilge water for you in the boat.

my conduct is a fantasy to you and reader the commie dip chit.

I did tow with 100 gallons of fuel on board, but that was what was recommended to store over winter.

FYI....I did not dump 100 gallons of gas on the ground so you and reader feel safe. I drove to port Clinton and added much more fuel to top off tank.

you stupidity and fantasy illusions are expected.

Well, there is the collision risk. I just envisioned a boat on a trailor somewhat aslant and maybe dribbling out a path as it goes along. Most of the boats my family had (and we didn't go hauling them around--they stayed where the water is) were small enough to have a portable gastank. On the other hand, we used to go houseboating down in Florida with one relative. And in that case it was strictly marina gas.

What's stupid is hauling a boat that big back and forth. Any NORMAL person would have it stored up at the lake over the winter. But, you, Mr. Big Bucks, always bragging about how much you make, are too cheap to do that. And you've amply demonstrated numerous times you have the math sense of a breeze block.

100 gals of gas = 800 sticks of dynamite. Make you nervous now?

You introduced this whole little diversion by saying that you had to go to Kroger on 23 in Lewis Center because you boat is too big for most gas stations.

Let's keep it rolling, and this from the guy who either neglects his family big time or they're but yet another illusion, such as a job he claims to hold.

You don't know the first thing about fleet movements, other than what a few debriefed items that were let out. Just remember, when daddy was flying over there, he was picking monster clap from the 'love you long time' girls.

In your mind he was the second coming of The Great Santini.

that is one way to look at it, or you could look at it as a person expelling if you work hard, you won't require government assistance.

roll the dice and start your own business.

but morons like you just make excuses for your failures, and blame it on someone else.

I tow the boat around so I can visit bodies of water at will.

in 2 weeks it will be in Hilton Head, and then back to lake erie.

If you buy a real truck, not a pretend one like most, you also could tow a 15,000 pound rig around.

yesterday that truck average 17.4 miles to a gallon from Columbus to Lexington Ky and back with the air on.

they make those that are self inflating that would be smart to keep aboard in case of emergency.
There is plenty of floatation aboard, but nothing that would keep you out of water.

hypothermia saver is that dingy.
