BLOCKHEADS!

#1 Dec 8, 2013
http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/econom...

I had this happen to me....my doct ordered an antibiotic that was $400.00, and of course my ins refused it. I would never had paid that much anyways.
He then ordered another which was so much more reasonable, and did the job!
I think some docs push drug companie's " medicine of the month ".
That's why when you see a drug rep walk in or out of an office, they either soliticited and or brought sample drugs to hand out to patients.
I know this...I used to work in a doc's office..some have an actual room with shelves of samples....I was amazed, to say the least.

Hey, Bube, how about starting a thread about how the sun is hot or something else equally as amazing?
In all of my life, I've never seen anyone - not anyone - as bitter as you. Worse, you have nothing better to do but to take out your bitterness on anonymous internet posters. Could there be anything more sad? I think not.

I'm OK with drug samples because they are often given to patients who are struggling financially, but it's interesting that you've posted this. You're not the only one affected. I'm certain Big Pharma will benefit from Obamacare - corporate fascism at its finest!

Further, El Embittered, a list of doctors who were getting bonuses from prescribing those drugs was compiled and published, so someone was amazed enough to pay someone else to do the research and prepare it for publication.

It's ok for docs to hand out samples. The docs need to consider their patients and affordability.
The cost of drugs are so varied and makes no sense, when the cheaper drug will do the same as the expensive drug. I think the docs also get a bigger cut ordering the more expensive drug.
Not to mention the 5 minute commercials. There's a pill for everything.....lol
I am waiting to see what my Ins will be next year.....I'll soon find out in a few weeks when the bill comes.....ugh!
Hope all is well!

Come on Che, where'd you go? You, as a lawyer, should be well aware of medical kickbacks. Let's talk about it, shall we?

There are scientists who study the sun too. It doesn't make it an earth shattering revelation.

It is beyond interesting that my insurance is pretty much unaffordable for next year, the year of the affordable insurance. Biggest. Public. Government. SNAFU. Ever. Good luck to us all!

Well, such studies are certainly costing the taxpayers quite a lot of money. You have been accused of living off the government before and it must be, because you have no sense of your money being spent inappropriately.

Seriously, Che? And you're calling me stupid? And wondering why Bizzy is amazed? This thread alone proves you are a lonely, bitter person who has nothing better to do with his life than attack anonymous posters on the internet.

WASHINGTON — The Affordable Care Act is the biggest new health care program in decades, but the Obama administration has ruled that neither the federal insurance exchange nor the federal subsidies paid to insurance companies on behalf of low-income people are “federal health care programs.”

The surprise decision, disclosed last week, exempts subsidized health insurance from a law that bans rebates, kickbacks, bribes and certain other financial arrangements in federal health programs, stripping law enforcement of a powerful tool used to fight fraud in other health care programs, like Medicare.

The main purpose of the anti-kickback law, as described by federal courts in scores of Medicare cases, is to protect patients and taxpayers against the undue influence of money on medical decisions.

This is a riot. My initial post mocked Dizzy for her shock to find out that doctors are in bed with drug companies. You, in an ill-fated attempt to defend Dizzy and fight with me, have stated how ignorant it is to not understand that.

Do you not see how hilarious that is?

Where did I display shock and awe?
I just posted an article and commented on an experience I had. I worked for doctors for gods sake....nothing shocks me!
Nice try trickster!
