I have to be honest, he was a violent liberal, so I didn't care for him. Probably why he played Tony well.

Per Associated Press:
In a December 2012 interview with The Associated Press, Gandolfini said he gravitated to acting as a release, a way to get rid of anger. "I don't know what exactly I was angry about," he said.

"I try to avoid certain things and certain kinds of violence at this point," he said last year. "I'm getting older, too. I don't want to be beating people up as much. I don't want to be beating women up and those kinds of things that much anymore."

Buon anima, JG. Rest in peace.

He could say more with one facial expression than most actors could say with 100 pages of dialogue.

Wow, another dumocrat who promotes violence against women. I can just imagine you sissy slapping a female.

Faced with a conservative male, you would wet your britches!

Look at his facial expression, low information voter.

Hey diptwit put the interview excerpt in the proper context. James was referring to having no desire to revive his character Tony Soprano when there was discussion of making a Sopranos movie after the HBO series was cancelled. He meant he was getting too old to be playing roles requiring him to beat up people like he did in the Sopranos.

USA TODAY:

Gandolfini's troubles with drugs & alcohol, and his violent outbursts on set:

"In papers related to a divorce filing at the end of 2002, Gandolfini's wife described increasingly serious issues with drugs and alcohol, as well as arguments during which the actor would repeatedly punch himself in the face out of frustration. To anybody who had witnessed the actor's self-directed rage as he struggled to remember lines in front of the camera — he would berate himself in disgust, curse, smack the back of his own head — it was a plausible scenario."

Sopranos star James Gandolfini launched a violent attack on a fan at a New York airport after he was approached for an autograph.

The 46-year-old became enraged when the man, brandishing a notepad and pen, came too close to the actor's fiancee, Deborah Lin, and Gandolfini hit out - grabbing him by the collar and punching him in the face.

The altercation - captured on camera - took place as the couple passed through JFK airport on their way back from the Screen Actor's Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (27Jan08), where Gandolfini picked up the Best Actor gong for his role in the hit TV series.

But the actor soon calmed down, and before leaving he apologised to the fan, taking time to sign the autograph and pose for a picture, according to the New York Daily News.

Detroit Free Press:

"By the winter of 2002, Gandolfini's sudden refusals to work had become a semiregular occurrence. His fits were passive-aggressive: He would claim to be sick, refuse to leave his TriBeCa apartment, or simply not show up.

TYPICAL DEMOCRAT!!!!!!!!
