The question remains. If you are going to toss out the judgment of the psychological profession because you don't like it, how do you propose to keep guns and children away from the psychologically unfit?
Obviously, a majority within our society doesn't care very much about either endeavor.

Like you, they endorse the adoption of children by psychologically-disordered homosexuals and the restriction of gun ownership by stable, law-abiding citizens.

It is illogical.

As do the practitioners of the remaining 547 paraphilias [sexual disorders] as defined by the APA.
Can we assume that you hold all these non-normative sexual behaviors to be the result of a person's genetic make-up, and thus to be natural conditions?
Tip, you keep coming back to this.

No.

But you keep offering up proof that homosexuality is wrong because two people of the same gender cannot reproduce. Can a male pedophile impregnate their victim? Yes, it happens. There have also been cases in which female adult sex abusers have become pregnant by their victims.

Ordered or disordered, they are all of the human species.

If you want to go on inventing your own rules of morality and psycho-social appropriateness, go right on ahead.

Just know that you are doing so from a position that is supported by only a portion of theologians and wholly rejected by the overwhelming consensus of the psychological world.

I see. When your Darwinian argument falls apart, then you fall back upon morality.
Incorrect.

I stand on biblical morality first.
Darwin just happens to support it this time.

And that's what really p!sses off the pro-homosexual crowd.

Incorrect.

Homosexual behaviors are unnatural and sinful from a biblical view because God clearly declares them to be, and as their negative personal and societal effects are plainly observed [as discussed above]. Additionally, homosexual behaviors are unnatural and unsustainable from an evolutionary view, as they lead to a biological dead-end.

If a so-called theologian chooses to reject God's Word, so be it.
I redirect him or her to 2 Peter 2 [above].
Not that it matters. At least in this lifetime.

It doesn't take a psychologist to know that same-sex relationships are disordered.
Moral law and natural biology declare it to be so.

Bonus, because I know you love it:

"And that is the point: there is something called reality. When feelings tell one he is, or should be, something he is not or shouldn't be -- a girl, a legless man or Napoleon -- the sane conclusion is that you're confronted with a psychological problem, not a physical one. It may be intractable, and it is certainly easier to mutilate the body than cure the mind. But you cannot mutilate reality, only obscure it. If a man loses his genitalia in an accident, does he cease to be male? Or, if "gender" is a continuum as today's [psychiatrists] say, is he less male?...

Again...feelings cannot be the arbiters of reality. After all, I may have hypertrichosis like Jo-Jo the Dog-Faced Boy, undergo operations to create a snout, paws and a tail, howl under the moonlight and change my name to Spot. Yet am I sane if I call myself a different species?"

What you fail to acknowledge is that secular beliefs are ultimately unprovable and, therefore, no more legitimate than religious beliefs. The only difference is that humanism is "self-based" as opposed to "faith-based," making morality relative to each individual...resulting in no moral absolutes.

Blah blah blah blah. Your theory that people like me are without morals is really quite tiresome, and stupid,

The difference is that people like you make every attempt to impose you religious beliefs on others involuntarily.

I don't reside in a country where that is permissible. Neither do you.

I want to exclude religion from government.

Unless I break the law, or care to discuss it with you, any degree of morality, spirituality, faith, or religiosity that I may or may not possess is none of your business.

If I wish to hear about your morals or religion, I'll look in the phone book, find your church, and attend.

"Some of you may know that I am neither Christian nor Jewish nor Buddhist, nor a conventionally religious person of any sort.
I am a humanist, which means, in part, that I have tried to behave decently without any expectation of rewards or punishments after I'm dead. My German-American ancestors, the earliest of whom settled in our Middle West about the time of our Civil War, called themselves "Freethinkers," which is the same sort of thing. My great grandfather Clemens Vonnegut wrote, for example, "If what Jesus said was good, what can it matter whether he was God or not?"
I myself have written, "If it weren't for the message of mercy and pity in Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, I wouldn't want to be a human being. I would just as soon be a rattlesnake."

"For some reason, the most vocal Christians among us never mention the Beatitudes. But, often with tears in their eyes, they demand that the Ten Commandments be posted in public buildings. And of course thatís Moses, not Jesus. I havenít heard one of them demand that the Sermon on the Mount, the Beatitudes, be posted anywhere.
"Blessed are the merciful" in a courtroom? "Blessed are the peacemakers" in the Pentagon? Give me a break!"

Your religious beliefs are unproveable also. If they were, there'd be one religion and everyone would believe it.

This proves my contention you engage in circular reasoning.

So...you've given up on the "gay gene."
Good thinking as even DNA microarray technology has failed to identify one.

However, if you consider one non-normative sexual behavior to be the result of a natural condition, then logic compels you to consider all as the same.
