I seem to remember Tippy and his brothers and sisters in arms singing loudly "What's love got to do with it?" when opposing gay marriage.
Now "loving couples" are trotted out as the gilded prerequisite for raising well adjusted children.

Since homosexual couples cannot naturally reproduce, the question is, "What's biology got to do with it?"

And Darwin says, "Everything."

Biology 101 --

Children are the product of a father [male] and a mother [female].
Every single time.

And the most ideal child-rearing occurs when that child is reared in a home with both parents present.

<quoted text>
And you are missing out on the plain fact that the children of these avowed non-committed individuals will never see themselves as a product of, or witness the model of, a mother and father committed to each other and to their children for the benefit of the family unit, willing to sacrifice and celebrate, as a team, through thick and thin.
Instead, what these children will realize is that they are the product of two virtual strangers who once contracted with each other solely for the purpose of creating that child for their very separate and very individual purposes.
For a married couple to divorce and relegate their child to a once-weekly visit with Dad is sad enough. For two virtual strangers to intentionally create a child relegated to such a life from birth is reprehensible.
Be that as it may, I would suggest that this is an incredibly small subgroup of folks. And furthermore, I would suggest that those few kids are likely, on balance, to do as well as most of the rest.

Couple decades back when I adopted there were still folks in positions of authority swearing that single people shouldn't even be allowed to parent kids who weren't necessarily going to ever see the inside of Ozzie and Harriet's world, let alone the proverbial "healthy white infants" that always seem to be in short supply. If a forty-something woman wants to take her chances with the sperm of a gay guy to make a baby, and thence a family, I'm not going to invest energy into getting everyone whipped up to go tell the king that the sky is falling.

If you are going to get into a lather about kids growing up in bad situations, why don't you concern yourself more with poverty, public education, lack of quality child care and the environment?

That's not an answer to the question.

If a kid is 2 years old and lives with a single parent as a result of two unmarried adults having a child or lives with a single parent as a result of a divorce, what difference does it make to the kid?

Neither case is ideal for the child, as we recognize as a society.

But specifically, in these cases, the two unmarried individuals are strangers who contracted with each other for the sole intent of bringing a child into existence to be jockeyed back and forth between their separate worlds -- one heterosexual, the other homosexual. Pure chaos.

And progressives laud these actions as commendable.

Meanwhile, in the very next breath, they...[see Reader's post, above] have the gall to suggest that conservatives can stem the trend of single-parenthood by tackling "poverty, public education, lack of quality child care and the environment."

And absolutely none of those issues has anything to do with the heart of this issue: MORALITY.

Once they enter into such an arrangement and share the rearing of a child, they are hardly strangers.

Biology has everything to do with reproduction and absolutely nothing to do with parenting.

If you don't believe me, walk into any Juvenile Court, find a Magistrate or Judge, and ask them.

Just so we're clear on that.

However, since homosexuals are confused about their own biology, they are automatically poor parenting candidates.

once again...consult your local juvenile court, where there are lots of trained professionals who are much more qualified and experienced than you in that subject matter.

I'm a loon for suggesting that two people who raise a child together cease to be strangers upon setting out on that venture?

tip--when it comes to biology, and physiology, I think you are the one who may be confused, or at least ignorant.

Modern research has determined distinct brain patterns in people who are gay, as well as patterns of response to sexual stimulii.

And the most important sexual organ has always been the brain.
