paper prices at the mill are rising $50 a ton in April.
This is the second $50 a ton raise in 6 months.
This translates to 16% roughly to someone who uses paper.
enjoy paying 16% at minimum more this July, than you did the July prior. This applies if you utilize thousands of tons. If you don't expect 20% at minimum.
I suggest that in order to reduce your paper costs, you immediately implement a 16% to 25% reduction in bullshit production.

Just get some help with the calculations, Bubba.

genius O Reader the brilliant one.....subtract 33% from 3/8.....what is the sum?
Hint....take.375 and multiply it by .66666666666666666666666666666 6666
what is the sum O brilliant Reader the magnificent?
could it be .250 or 1/4?
can your brain of asphalt absorb that?
it is doubtful after reading your posts.
This may soon result in an "Ask Bubba" story problem thread that would be sure to be a popular diversion.

that is another lib spin lie you like to help spread to cover your inadequate comparison with peers.
But to answer your question...yes...every single customer will receive the price increase.
and yes you the consumer pays the ultimate price.
PS: I am commissioned based 100%....I just received a 16% pay increase in 6 months due to price increases. I am paid on volume. Cost up 16%, so are commissions.
PSS: the govt employees never eat the cost; but the taxpayer always does.
PSSS: why would I ever give you a break? you are not a customer.
Ummm, you do realize that cost and volume are two different things, right?

Keep trying to post this as a reponse and everytime I do Topix goes weird on me. Must not like all the numbers or something.

OK, RS, let's try to make it easy enough even for you to understand.
First off, let's convert these fractions to some common denominators, ok?

1/4 is the same as 2/8, correct? Still with me?

Now, if you compare 3/8 to 2/8 the difference between the two is 1/8, is it not?

And 1/8 is not .3333 (or 1/3) of 2/8, now is it? No. 1/8 is HALF of 2/8. So, 3/8 is one AND ONE HALF times 2/8 (or 1/4).

You can almost see it, can't you?

Can't you?

Like the Vulgate before it, it is recognized more on literary merits than on faithfulness to original texts--some of which were not even available at the time that the King James was written.
I do not think you have a clue as to what you are talking about.

in grade school math had word problems

you and Che failed it is obvious.

math statements make a difference with the sum.

3/8 is 33% larger than 1/4

subtract 33% from 3/8 and the sum is?

people like you reader I find it hard to believe your brain is sufficient to force heartbeats and breath from your body.

only to an uninformed ignorant state social worker.

when you add costs it is volume.

if something cost a dollar; and you purchased 3.....the volume is 3

and when price increases are implemented it increases both cost and volume .

Exactly how much product do you price daily for resale?

ZERO....I thought so.....so in Reality you are clueless.

thanks for playing along; but you require a math course before being invited again.

Hey Einstein, look up the math concept called "RECIPROCALS".

Then you will learn why you are the only one who thinks you are right, and hopefully you will then learn you've been wrong this whole time.

If you went on "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth-Grader", you would be sent packing on the first show.

RECIPROCALS!

if only you could comprehend what you read.

statements made with math equations determine the sum.

you morons are arguing about a statement other than the math problem.

Multiply 1.3333 times 1/4. You won't get 3/8.

Hoo Boy. I sure hope you have someone you can trust doing your books for you.

If your unit cost is $1 and you purchase 1 unit, cost is $1. If you buy three units, your cost is $3. If the cost goes $2 and you buy 3 units, your cost will be $6.

Now, if your customer only has $3 in their budget, they won't be able to buy three units anymore. They will only be able to buy one unit (with a dollar left over).

But I guess in your fantasy if your supplier ups their price your profit goes up.

What an idiot.

Here is the widely accepted (read, by those with a brain) method to determine percentage change:

final/base - 1 x 100 =% change.

It depends on which way you are going. Thus 3/8 is 50% bigger than 1/4. You start at 1/4 and end up at 3/8 or,

3/8 divided by 1/4 = 1.5, then subtract 1 = 0.5, multiply by 100 = 50% more.

1/4 is 33% less than 3/8. You start at 3/8 and end up at 1/4 or,

1/4 divided by 3/8 = 0.66+, then subtract 1 =-0.33+, multiply by 100 equals 33% less.

This is because 2/3 is the reciprocal of 3/2.

This formula works every time and eliminates all confusion, except apparently for you.

What about something that triples in price? What % is that? 200%
Are you saying that if something becomes 1/3 the price, then it went down 200%? If so, that's impossible, nothing can decrease more than 100%. See above formula to confirm.

You're welcome. Now admit you are wrong and apologize to everyone out here who is smarter than you on this subject. In fact, most of us are smarter than you are on most subjects. Which is why you need to change your name to Fantasy Speaks.

Yeah, you're getting way too much perverse pleasure out of it. Whereas I want to be like my father and knock some sense into him.

you are more ignorant than a groundhog by far.

3/8 =.375
1/4=.250

if you subtract 33% from 3/8 the sum is 1/4

you keep arguing the facts presented; and I will continue to point out how stupid you are.

I suggest you stay in the hood, because you in the suburbs will have 5th graders laughing and rolling on the ground at you complete stupidity.
