Why does this not surprise me? I wonder what Reid got for Nevada now. You know he got something in the deal...

You didn't expect Portman to do the right thing, didya?
Don't worry. He didn't disappoint.

...Besides Cornyn, the deal was opposed by several other GOP senators who are watching their right flanks ahead of 2014 reelection bids: Sens. Mike Enzi of Wyoming and Pat Roberts of Kansas. But overall McConnell was able to hold together the majority of his 46-member caucus to support his deal, though senators said he did not twist arms in party meetings ahead of the vote.

The other Republican senators that opposed the bill: Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, Tim Scott of South Carolina, David Vitter of Louisiana, Mike Lee of Utah, Ted Cruz of Texas, Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Mike Crapo of Idaho, Marco Rubio of Florida, Richard Shelby of Alabama, Jim Risch of Idaho, Chuck Grassley of Iowa, Jeff Sessions of Alabama, Rand Paul of Kentucky and Dean Heller of Nevada.

No, not just one.
And only after each has been found guilty of treason.

Gallows suggests that it is pre-constructed, implying the use of the courts of law. A lynching would just use a lampost.

Oh. You left the trial part out of your initial post. When will these trials start and who is going to bring the charges?

Karl pointed out the error in your thinking.
Only one of many.

What should happen...and what will happen...are two very different things in this wayward nation.

The emerging details of today's "deal" have only worsened the climate across America.
America-loving citizens are not happy.

I hope, a junta consisting of Lt Col (Ret) Allen West, Gen (Ret) Carter Ham, Sen. Ted Cruz, and former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin.

So this whole treason thing is just another of your wingnut pipe dreams?

So this will be an extra-judicial kind of thing. Part of your Civil War fantasy?

The deal allegedly surrenders the debt ceiling leverage, that's treason.

You are a classic wingnut. Equating a difference of political opinion with treason. Insane.

That deal violates the Constitution. The President does not have the revenue powers.

Ridding this nation of tyranny and restoring it to a Constitutional republic should be every American's dream.

Naturally, I realize it's your socialist nightmare.
And I believe it may bring you nightsweats sooner than you think.

And, no, drone...an abridgement of the separation of powers is not a mere difference in political opinion.

You are plain dumb.

First, you should re-read the definition of treason. Treason is more than a mere unconstitutional act. Second, how does the legislation violate the constitution?

This should be fun. Explain how the legislation that just passed is a violence of separation of powers?

"Lemme be clear"...you obviously sat under the tutelage of Lecturer Barack Hussein Obama in his Constitutional Law classes at the University of Chicago.

Sh!t for brains, the two of you.
