I can't believe Union county is only a level 1!! It is horrible out, everything is covered in ice and the wind doesn't help. The surrounding counties have all gone to level 3 and we are just as bad, if not worse than they are. Our Sheriff needs to get out of bed and do his job!

Winds are scary out in the country here, snow is not blowing, due to the layer of ice on it. We have about 2 1/2 inches of ice on the road and driveway here.

We are used to high winds here, we sit in the middle of 1000 acres of farm land, but these winds are up there with the worst we have seen in quite some time.

wow! Last night ice caoting everything, tree branches breaking off and lights flickering. I woke up this morning to 36 degrees, almost no trace of ice...like it never happened. The wind is picking up ant temp is dropping but as ling as the ice is gone, I'll take the snow any day.

I know! I was shocked that we still had power! Thank God! I hope they get it back on fast for the folks who are without it.

Delaware County should at least be a Level II right now. Guess thats what you get for having a trooper as a sheriff...

Why are people so crazy and stupid here?? The roads are terrible yet people are still out and businesses are still open. You wonder why there are so many traffic accidents...because people are too stupid to stay home when they should

It should be level 3 for Franklin County for 2 days. If your caught on the streeet (unless absolute emergency your taken to jail). Then they can clean the streets good, fix what needs to be fixed without people driving around in the way. I haven't seen a car go down my street for 2 days. The street is hell.

Thanks to the sheriff of Champaigne county for having the sense to raise the level to 3 knowing no one should try to drive in this unless it's an emergency. Madison county is awful and should be at least a level 2.

I wish I could stay home. But if I do, I don't get paid. Maybe I would get paid if it was a level III, I don't know. But I sure wish they would have closed our business, I lost power last night at 10 pm and I still don't have power. But I still have to be at work. thank God for deoderant :-)

Most of the ice melted off of the trees and power lines over night. The temp is now 27 the wind is gusting very hard and it's snowing quite hard, sideways from the southwest.
Crossing my fingers that I won't have to fire up the generator.....this would be the day that it won't start ;)

I'm sure most of those people would have loved to stay home but had to go to work to keep their jobs! Yes, the weather is bad, but we live in Ohio. As long as everyone drives safely and slowly, we will make it through!

Ok, it's it not bad enough for a level 3. Maybe if you were out in it you would know that, 270 in Worthington is moving AT normal speed right now. They rarely do side roads because they are less traveled and they don't have enough trucks to hit every little street in Columbus. Maybe, if you were out in it, you would know that. Franklin Cty SHOULD be under at least a level 1, however, because the side streets are nasty in places. Funny though, my street is hardly ever done, and I made it to work. So did my sales teams and my service techs. Maybe it's just you that should stay in, because your ignorance to the situation and how it is handled, would cause more problems.

Marion is basically an ice hockey rink. we have a thin layer of water on top of the ice which of course makes it that much slicker!

I don't miss the ice storms in central Ohio. But we have our share of snow and cold here in Montana. This morning the chill factor was -31 with the air temp at 0. We've had snow cover since the Sunday before thanksgiving. Last winter we had 91 straight days of snow cover. Central Ohio,be careful driving during this storm.

You don't really know how stupid a person is until you see them drive in bad weather. I work for the state and was out with over 20 of these stupid people last night. Apparently it is sunny and 70 where they are. Oh yeah, for all you commercial truck drivers out there blowing my doors off...your truck isn't immune to ice just because you are heavier and have 18 wheels. Bottom line, you better hope you dont slide off the road because you will be meeting one of us. Be careful and take your common sense with you, please.
