It's what liberals do: try to invalidate proof.<quoted text>Of course It would seem that our founders could not have imagined precisely what changes would come about in their futures, but they certainly KNEW that things would NOT remain the same since they were clearly aware that at one time there was no steam engines, firearms, cannons etc. And B4 that there were catapaults, simple bows, cross bows, steel, bronze, stone tipped arrows & spears, B4 that clubs & sling shots etc.
So I agree with you.
They had no crystal ball just as we don't. But we already envision lasers, rail guns, pulse weapons & more.
that is an angle that the narrow sighted don't see or they refuse to see.
As far as your slavery question, that's just Canton when he can't stay on subject.
If our founders feared (as Canton puts it) 16y year olds with assault rifles, they would have limited our ability to protect ourselves by listing the primitive weapons they had at the time. Of course they knew that our weaponry would advance, but they didn't want those advancements available to rogue governments or criminals and not the law abiding citizen.
If we look at our mass murders in this country including the latest Naval episode, the one common element is that most took place in gun-free zones. So far under this administration, we've had two mass attacks on military instillations. How many attacks on military instillations did we have before Clinton disarmed military personnel in these places?
Liberals just don't get it. Whether we look at isolated instances where guns are not allowed or entire states or cities that just about prohibit guns such as NYC and Chicago, we find that gun-free zones are a problem. So what's the liberal solution? Make everyplace a gun-free zone. That's just how liberals think.
