Obama suffers most from year of turmoil, poll finds
By Dan Balz and Scott Clement, Published: December 16 | Updated: Tuesday, December 17, 12:01 AM

President Obama is ending his fifth year in office matching the worst public approval ratings of his presidency, with record numbers of Americans saying they disapprove of his job performance and his once-hefty advantages over Republicans in Congress eroded in many areas, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.

His position is all the more striking when compared with his standing a year ago, as he was preparing for his second inauguration after a solid reelection victory. That high note proved fleeting as the president faced a series of setbacks, culminating in the botched rollout of his Affordable Care Act two months ago.

Approval rates of both parties in Congress remain worse than Obama’s. Still, it is the president who has suffered the most damage from his administration’s self-inflicted wounds and a year of partisan conflict that included a partial shutdown of the government.

Obama’s standing is of particular concern to congressional Democrats as they look to next year’s midterm elections. Parties that control the White House suffer — sometimes significantly — in midterm campaigns when the president’s approval rating is below 50 percent.

Or we could just look at the Republican Congress and know that they are the most ineffective Congress right now in the history of this nation. Also, only an idiot would think that our government could take away the millions of legally unregistered guns in this country. Now get back down in your doomsday Bible bunker because the Tea Bagger provided emailed outrage of the week is getting old and even the GOP is now calling you "Patriots" out for being the kooks you really are. Snap snap corporate fetch boy. Daddy Koch said jump and instead you guys dropped to your knees and started making a sucking sound.

Yet statistically looks like almost every other president at this time in his 2nd term. Waaaaah. I wanted my country to fail! Waaaaah! Oh and the overwhelming majority of Americans are fully aware that it's the Tea Party's fault why the government shut down. To the point that the GOP is looking at you kooks as being as appealing as a dirty diaper laying on the sidewalk.

How dare those scientologists try to force their unproven spaceship creation stories in our public school science classes. Next thing you know, they'll be trying to force their beliefs on the steps of our court houses and government offices. I even heard they actually changed our nation's pledge of allegiance to fit their agenda...oops. I meant rightwing Christians. You know, the one's that piss on what this country was founded upon. Now if you excuse me, I have a Christian nativity scene to visit in the plaza of the "Fair and Balanced" network.

Oh silly little fringe group. Most of us voted for Obama because we saw what your golden boy GW did to this nation and couldn't afford another 8 years of kissing rich boy's @ss. I'm sure if Mitt would have gotten it, he would have created way more jobs than Obama. Of course those jobs would have went to Mitt's buddies and would have been created by starting meaningless wars.

Except that's not what he wanted. What he wanted is to wipe out private insurance and make as many Americans dependent on the federal government as possible. Can't get much more evil than that.

What the GOP is looking at are gigantic gains in 2014 and most likely 2016.

The American people finally got a taste of Socialism and they don't like it. It sounded good..... the lies and all that. But now they understand what a leftist is really about.

Tick-toc, tick-toc. The clock is winding down to millions more losing their healthcare. Millions more paying a hefty price and getting less. I believe he's single-handedly going to destroy the Democrat party. Goodie for us Americans.

Now when they go to the voting booth, they will stop and think: Gee, DumBama told us if you like your plan, you can keep it. The Republicans told us this would private insured healthcare, it would cost more, you will lost your insurance plan, it will cost way over a trillion dollars! Gee, what party should I vote for this election????

Yet you and our ilk keep spewing the same trash that thankfully most Americans can see through and laugh at the small minded ignorance. Just look at some of the latest headlines:
EPA lawyer from The Bush era convicted of payroll fraud, claiming for 13 years that he was also a CIA agent.
Former Bush official, ordered to pay a little over $28mill. to former wife who he tried to kill. Under house arrest until his criminal charges are heard.
Lamar Alexander's right hand man, charged with child porn, but back on the streets.
The guy from Florida, voted for drug testing people on welfare, busted for buying cocaine.
Such moral and upstanding people.

Wee boy, those aren't issues with the American people. What the American people are concerned about is how policies effect them.

When DumBama got Commie Care passed, Americans responded. They quickly changed the short lived Democrat leadership in Congress back to Republicans. By his next election, he managed to bullship enough people to get reelected, and the Republican Congress lost some seats, but still remained in power.

The explanation behind this is that most people were not harmed by Commie Care at the time. The Democrats were successfully able to BS the people in some War on Women that never was. The Democrats told the American people that all the warnings of Commie Care by Republicans were nothing more than scare tactics.

Fast forward to today, and millions of people found out that DumBama is a liar and that the Republicans were truthful. Nearly everything they predicted about this invasion of our healthcare came true. People had their policies canceled, the exchange is a joke, insurance will be more unaffordable now than it was before, full time workers will be demoted to part-time, your choice of premium plans, doctors and healthcare facilities will be extremely limited.

Next year Commie Care is scheduled to attack employer provided insurance. Since most of us get our insurance from our employer, this latest kick in the stomach is nothing compared to what's lurking down the road. Republicans will once again alert people of the problem, and this time I think they will finally listen to them.
