A few weeks after the invasion of Iraq, coalition forces began a long occupation, marked by almost immediate chaos.

Was the war a mistake?

Nope. Things worked out fine. Just ask Saddam.

As usual Hugh LOSER Thompson III doesn't believe what the majority of people believe. Most people think the war was a mistake.

That doesn't make them right, hilljack. 50 years ago the majority agreed with racial segregation.

That explains my votes for Keyes and Blackwell and my support for Cain. Gotcha.

Oil supply is up, and multiple elections have been held.

I figure it was worth it, even though Bush, Rumsfeld and Bremer made far too many mistakes.

No. The fact that you are a one issue voter explains that.

Yep. I vote for real Americans.
Obama, Reid and Pelosi could join Operation Rescue tomorrow and I still wouldn't vote for them.

"Four Americans, after begging for more security, murdered in Benghazi on the anniversary of 9-01-2001. WH involved in attempted cover-up. More to come."

That trumps them all.

No, Clinton sitting in his hands through multiple attacks on US facilities during his tenure was a huge mistake. Saddam, Bin Laden and other terrorist groups and America haters should have never gotten so far.

Had Bush Sr. been re-elected, he'd have slapped them down like he did when they invaded Kuwait. Quickly and with very few American casualties.

Why do you care that elections have been held in Iraq? How does that make your life better? How has that increased oil supply helped you?

The growth of the economies of Asia has dramatically increased oil demand.

Iraq under Hussein was producing 2 million or so bbls/day, its now over 3 million bbls/day and growing.

Assuming that we never invaded Iraq and didn't use a coup to remove Saddam, he may have gotten the sanctions removed and rebuilt the weapons program, as he intended to do.

But if the sanctions stayed that way, oil supply would not have increased, while demand still increased.

Meanwhile in Iran, their supply is down due to sanctions meant to stop their nukes program.

The increase in Iraq and Libyan oil supply has prevented market shocks.

We are not out of the woods, but if the sanctions remain by 2020, and Iraq and Libya are not destabilized, their supply will increase, driving down prices, and forcing Iran to the table.

If Obama was more willing to put the boot on China's neck, this might have been already over.

And I told you that a candidate who agrees with me on abortion doesn't get an automatic vote.
