He's got to go. Can't criticize policy once it's been decided.

This General has spent 35 years as a military man and Obuma has no military experience at all. He was promoted to Commander-In-Chief by the ghetto. No brainer for me.

Do not resign, General! We need to know the truth about this failed war and your assesment as a career man in uniform it's more important than those of the politicians sitting in their offices, away from the war!.

McChrystal admits voting for Obama. He was gullible enough to believe in "hope and change."

That tells me all I need to know about his decision-making.

You are right and your comment is great!
However, the General had the courage to let the truth be known. He didn't compromise in spite of his decision as a voter.

His lack of political experience and training is irrelevant. Insubordination and public criticism of the Commander in Chief or any superior officers is a pretty basic violation to the military chain of command.

He has placed Obama, and the country, in an untenable position, because he clearly has to go.

When will the Dispatch be running the headline: "Big mouthed dreamer" Obama has scant military training/experience?

McChrystal = done. As he should be. And as he obviously wants to be.

Obama = has no clue what to do in the country of Afghanistan which he, to paraphrase, called the right fight. Easy to comment from the sidelines about how this or that should be done, a lot different when YOU have the sole responsibility and accountability for making the RIGHT decisions vs. the politically expedient ones, right? See the econonmy, national debt, Gulf Coast, etc. for further examples of an inability to properly lead from Obama.....

I think the truth now is known just how clueless Obama is. Obama is so far out of his league.

Of course he does well playing golf, hosting big parties and having fund raisers for leftist/socialists.

What Obama also did was to shred the constitution and disrespect America to other countries and let the MexicoThug Leader disrespect the USA on OUR soil.

The dumbed down electorate can be thanked for getting him elected. How is that hopey change stuff working for you.

I know the producers sure are not happy by paying for this crap.

I appreciate the Generalís service. But, he cannot take his grips to the media. It undermines our effort!

Why don't some of you give a similar interview about your company and boss to Columbus Monthly or Business Week and see what happens to you.

The general should have told Hussian to take the job and shove it when he offered it to him. While Hussian was the so called senator from Illinois and was on the group that was in charge of that war he did nothing but say we should bring our troops back from Iraq. Now where are all of the protesters and why aren't they saying bring our troops home?

Not too sure why the filthy progressives have gotten their diapers tied into knots on this one. OK disrespected the civilian leadership, but the civilian leadership constantly disprespects the Constitution and ignores the will of the people. Typical progressive filth to demand behavior they have no decency abiding by themselves.

McC is showing his complete disgust of the conduct of this war with his hands tied by this administration's "rules of engagement". I hope he get fired then I can vote for him in 2012. I have talked to troops in theater and they are so frustrated by restrictions that they are loosing morale. They have to fire warning shots, they can't call in artillery support because the enemy might be too close to friendly, they need Afghans to search houses. etc. If this administration doesn't allow the military to win this war, then bring everyone home now!! And apologize to brave men and women who have sacrificed so much in this cause. Like the Vietnam war, it can not be waged from the White House. Didn't we learn that lesson once.

The civilian leadership is known as the Commander in Chief for a reason. However, the disrespect was not limited to civilians. It included military personnel in superior positions. I don't know why conservatives have a hard time understanding.

How bad, corrupt and clueless does this administration have to be for a highly decorated Army lifer general to say what he said to a liberal rag like Rolling Stone. The whole time knowing it would end a long career?

When their immediate leadership is unsupportive of the chain of command, this produces resentments and poor morale. McChrystal has an obligation to publicly support his mission--or resign.
