Just another great part of American history that goes unoticed by the "ignoranti" that usually post on these threads.

One can only imagine the valor, courage & sacrifice these MEN displayed, despite the negative manner inwhich they were treated by the very country they fought for...

One of my favorite songs is "Buffalo Soldier" sung by the Persuasions...acapella...it soulfully & spirtually encapsulates the story of the 10th Calvary..
peace be unto them all!

Every post on here was filled with love and respect for the Buffalo Soldiers and those that ride today in their memory, EXCEPT YOURS.
Maybe you should take a look at yourself before you call people "ignoranti"

Did I strike a nerve, Rick? Or, is it possible that you cannot read a paragraph?

I think what he was getting at is here is an interesting story, one that really does not necessitate negative comments and here you come with your big fat head trolling the forums and calling people ignorant because they may have not heard of the Buffalo Soldiers before. Believe it or not I know things that you may not know but I certainly wouldn't call you ignorant just because you may be unfamiliar with them. Well guess what, different things interest different people and there isn't enough time or gray matter to know everything. RIP Buffalo Soldiers and thanks for fighting so we can have the freedom to go around and be negative douchebags on internet forums!!

If you read my initial post,it certainly wouldn't seem negative relative to the subject matter. I revere the Buffalo Soldiers & DETEST the "Bevis -n- Buttheads" that continue to post the racially tinged bullcrap that clog these threads. I am familiar with some of your posts as well. Again, do I hit a nerve? Interesting that you take me on...I don't change my handle...and will respond to the junk at my pretty leisure...Have a great evening...I'm watching the Colts.

How do you keep a people down? You 'never' let them 'know' their history.

Keep telling that history; read some great military history.

The 7th Cavalry got their butts in a sling again after the Little Big Horn Massacre, fourteen years later, the day after the Wounded Knee Massacre. If it wasn't for the 9th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers, there would of been a second massacre of the 7th Cavalry. Read the book,‘Rescue at Pine Ridge”, and visit website/great military history, http://www.rescueatpineridge.com
