COLUMBUS, Ohio - A central Ohio nurse is facing felony drug theft charges after officers say they found vials of drugs and syringes in her vehicle.

Regina Belenkaya, 38, appeared in Franklin County Municipal Court Friday morning. Belenkaya’s attorney said his client is employed as a nurse in the operating room of Mount Carmel West Hospital in Columbus.

According to court documents, Belenkaya was arrested for OVI on March 18 after she was involved in a vehicle crash with a parked car. Officers said that Belenkaya was unsteady on her feet. They originally thought she had hit her head, but she told them she was taking medication for her back.

Columbus officers said they located vials of medication and syringes on the floorboard of her vehicle, in her purse and in her pocket. The labels on the drugs identified them as Diprivan, also known as Propofol, Amidate, Succinylcholine, Xyocaine.

A spokesperson with Mount Carmel told 10TV hospital management is aware of the situation and is currently working with the appropriate authorities. According to the statement - "The individual in question is employed by a third-party vendor and will no longer be practicing at Mount Carmel."

A judge set bond at $5,000. Belenkaya is due back in court March 28.

Mount Carmel West... figures. I went there once with a bad ear infection and they told me to use Afrin nasal spray then they sent me a bill for $ 350.00 dollars. I hate that place and will never go back.

Afrin nasal spray won't do anything for an ear infection, Afrin is for clogged sinuses like when you have a cold. I just wanted to make sure you knew that.

If you are friends with someone take them to Riverside or grant depending on the problem. If they are a deadbeat relative take.them to Mount Carmel or Lancaster. Lancaster they are guaranteed to die or come out worse than when they went in.

Sounds like a place for liberals, Mt. Carmel or Lancaster. What about Berger?

The Urgent care off Stringtown Rd in Grove City is the best, the Doctors are top notch and the care that you receive is second to none. Urgent care visit's are more affordable than Emergency Room visits. I'm only recommending the Urgent care in Grove City because I know the excellent treatment that you will receive. I love that place.

Don't know.about Berger. I thing it is in the same group as Chillicothe or part of Ohio Health ( Grant Riverside , Doctors Hospital ). I have heard Chillicothe has decent rehab care for knee and hip replacement surgeries.

Nasal sprays help clear the ear canal attached to the nasal passages.

Have you been on a plane and have you ears pop and you cannot hear, except your own voice? My husband kept elbowing me, mouthing to me to stop talking so loud. Didn't realize I was so loud. My ears hurt so bad. Tried gum and yawning, didn't work. I felt like socking the pilot. My husband said that a little toddler was screaming at the same time I was in agony, poor fellow, must have the ear pressure also. It occurred prior to landing. Anyway, this went on for hours after we got home. Thought about going to the ER but went online instead and it said to try the nasal spray. I did and it immediately corrected. I would have gladly paid $350 for the nasal spray.

My husband had a broken nose in 1984 and had surgery at Mt. Carmel. At that time you stayed a night or two. He just said he is still waiting on the pain pill the night nurse was supposed to give him.
