Severe/Manic Depression is a real disease, just like cancer, and very hard to treat.
I don't feel suicide is a cowardly act nor a selfish one. I don't know what has lead anyone to take their life, but I am sure that God understood.
I also think it more severe in highly intelligent people. Look at Hemmingway and so many others.
For the survivors, it is the most difficult death to accept or understand. Harder even than losing someone to homocide. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
I pray Mr. Williams has found peace.
Now, go to it, trolls. Post your insults and whack-a-doodle judging icons. It's what you do and your ONLY contributon.
People who committ suicide know not what they do...they are not in their right state of mind.
I'm sure The Lord will give him the peace he so deserves and casts out the demons that plagued him all his life.=~{
My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

CNN says his death was suicide by asphyxiation after years of severe depression. So sad considering how he was one of the funniest people ever.
Too bad it wasn't Justin Beiber instead.

Or Lohan or any one of the Kardashians. Lord knows their view of their self worth is waaay overstated.

Well if that is the criteria that should be applied perhaps you see someone in the mirror everyday who might qualify as well.

Reflections are overstatements. Pure genius. like an idiot savant... without the savant part.

I was going to say the same thing. Never was a big fan of his. and I don't blame him really. If I had to do a sequel to Mrs Doubtfire I'd probably kill myself too.

Since we're on the subject of comedians, check out this video I found of David Letterman on TV in Indianapolis. Especially watch the sign off at the end and you'll see flashes of his irreverent sense of humor.
