If anyone here has little ones, here's something fun for them tomorrow:

http://www.noradsanta.org/

It might keep them out of the cookies and quiet, at least for a little while!

No. It is a non-profit, fully volunteer supported and funded, joint venture between the US and Canada and our air forces... they've done this since 1955, on the internet since 1998. It's just a cute, fun, entertaining effort. Why pop the fun balloon?

I loved that site! I first learned of it when I was working with a bunch of Air Force guys in Dayton. My kids were too old for it then, but it's such an adorable idea and they put a lot of effort into it each year, gratis.

We used to track Santa, too. I think there were radio stations back then that would give updates. What fun. I miss having little ones around. Sigh...I wish my kids would only get busy on that... lol.(But I keep my lip zipped on that matter, none of my business, and I fully understand they're loaded with student loans, getting jobs and their lives settled, etc. etc. etc.)

It's fun to think about what used to be around the holidays. They have changed drastically.
I was just thinking of how different and expensive the toys are today. The two younger boys,11,9, are getting iPads and a bunch of other stuff. WHODATHUNK?
Lol......oy!

And to think of all the wondrous things you've witnessed and experienced during your lifetime! The creation of the universe... the creation of man... herds of dinosaurs roaming the Earth.... the discovery of fire... the invention of the wheel... the Great Flood... the construction of the Pyramids of Giza... the sinking of Atlantis... our Milky Way galaxy revolving about its axis every 220 million years...
