President Obama Signs Indefinite Detention Bill Into Law

“President Obama's action today is a blight on his legacy because he will forever be known as the president who signed indefinite detention without charge or trial into law,” said Anthony D. Romero, ACLU executive director.“The statute is particularly dangerous because it has no temporal or geographic limitations, and can be used by this and future presidents to militarily detain people captured far from any battlefield. The ACLU will fight worldwide detention authority wherever we can, be it in court, in Congress, or internationally.”

Oh yeah, I recall it like it was yesterday. That bill goes back to 2011 when President Obama actually signed the thing.

But I remember the good old days that lead up to it. Back in 2008 when Presidential candidate Obama, House Speaker Pelosi, and the liberal progressive propaganda media, who had criticized so well the indefinite detention of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay by the then lawless President George (evil Cheney) Bush, and what that had done to ruin our country's reputation before the whole world. What will the Europeans say? OMG!

It was sooooooo bad, that on June 10, 2008, Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D), along with co-sponsor Robert Wexler (D), introduced 35 articles of impeachment against President Bush to the U.S. House of Representatives. The House voted 251 to 166 on June 11, 2008, to refer the impeachment resolution to the Judiciary Committee.

But do you recall the liberal progressive propaganda media, the Presidents supporters, the Democratic Party's outrage and outcry, when President Obama signed that bill into Law? It was deafening!!! Huh? Say what?

But never trust a Republican with indefinite detention of prisoners, you can only trust Dimocrats with that, they will do it smarter.... hypocrites.

who cares about this foreign company?

PS: you should see how large of rebates and discounts Chrysler has right now. Sales are up 22% but the car was discounted 35% to sell it. Liberal ignorance math on display, and the trolls slurping it up as always.

If Chrysler went bankrupt like it should have prior to taxpayers bailing it out so it could be sold to the Italians, then an American investment firm would have purchased the shuttered brands and rebuilt them.

what we have is a failed company that by force the government stole funds from citizens to prop up the books so a foreign nation would purchase it.

Now the citizens can't even receive the benefit of the taxes anymore because Chrysler is now Fiat.

The government applied the same logic to GM, and gave the Union ownership.

Bailing out the Auto company's and Detroit was and is a big mistake. Let it fail and be sold at auction. Then the new owners will be serious about the business or stay out of it.

You my friend have been duped, and hopefully you have learned to explore before chanting.
